ABC News was given exclusive access to the GAO report, which capped off a nationwide yearlong investigation by ABC News on the overuse of the most powerful mind-altering drugs on many of the country's nearly 425000 foster children. The GAO's report, based on a two-year-long investigation, looked at five states ? Florida, Massachusetts, Michigan, Oregon and Texas. Thousands of foster children were being prescribed psychiatric medications at doses higher than the maximum levels approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in these five states alone. It's no surprise that CCS has one of the most talent-laden teams in all of skateboarding. What is a surprise though, is that we were able to get a good part of the team under one roof for the Grand Opening of the newest CCS store in Ventura. CCS Pros Rick Howard, Shane O'Neill, Torey Pudwill, Mark Appleyard, Ryan Smith, and Arto Saari rolled into the store to psych out the fans of Ventura and sign autographs. Kent Snyder, Executive Director of Ron Paul's grassroots organization, exposes the administration's "No Child Left Un-drugged" program, offered under names such as "Teen Screen" and TMAP. These programs force or coerce children and adults into "mental health" testing which is highly unscientific and too often results in prescriptions for dangerous psychiatric drugs. These are of a class known as 'psychotropic' drugs-meaning 'mind-altering' drugs. We must keep our children from being given drugs and labels--it's time to stop any type of forced psychiatric testing and drugging of our children. This mind blowing track comes off of the legendary South African band Freedom's Children debut album "Battle Hymn Of The Broken Hearted Horde". I just heard this song a couple of days ago, but in that short time, it has turned into one of the most amazing songs I've heard in a great while! This band was robbed of fame due to them being from South Africa and being refused work permits in England due to Aparthide laws. Althought they did do some underground shows and apparently opened for Pink Floyd at one time. Its All Meat were from Toronto and featured Jed MacKay - organ, piano and lead vocals, Rick Aston - bass and vocals, Rick McKim - drums, Wayne Roworth - guitar, and Norm White - guitar. All their songwriting was done by Rick McKim and Jed MacKay who were in the Easy Riders previously.Jed really has a field day with this track, providing both vocals and organ in one of garages finest moments.Its from their one and only album from 1970 which is still much sought after and now available on cd. The name of the band was inspired by a dog food commercial that boasted "100% meat - no filler." Much has been written about this 9 min epic such as: The crucial track here is the long, doped out "Crying Into The Deep Lake", which is pure, cosmic psych of the "highest" order. Like a combination of "The End" and "In A Gadda Da Vida", this one spirals off into the ether filled cosmos, just pure, shimmering, mind expanding beauty. SIUE has long offered high-quality masters degrees in industrial/organizational psychology, clinical adult psychology and clinical child and school psychology. It also offers a specialist degree in school psychology. In some ways this video serves as a warning to prospective graduate students. Although many more graduate school options are available today than were available in the past, prospective graduate students need to be more careful than ever. Many of the newest graduate programs are of low quality (eg, they admit almost everyone who applies and keep costs low by employing a high proportion of part-time faculty). These same low-quality programs have a poor record of preparing students for the workforce and leave their graduates burdened with huge loans to pay off. It is more important than ever to look at the facts about what a program will cost, how you will pay for it and how long it may take to pay off debts.
