The 2 options for Jesus quoting Psalm 82:6 against the Jews accusing Him of blasphemy are this: 1) Jesus is justifying calling Himself the Son of God (and saying "I and the Father are one" John 10:30), by saying there are many "gods", therefore watering down the meaning of "the Son of God" and trying to sneak His way out of their accusation of blasphemy. 2) Jesus is deliberately quoting a verse about false judges against His accusers, therefore telling them they are false judges for accusing Him of blasphemy and He is also telling them they will die like men and fall away like any of the princes, as Ps 82:7 says. The 1st option is just self-justification (not Christ's style) and He would be quoting a verse where Yahweh is being sarcastic against false judges who would die like men and fall like any of the princes... which wouldn't be a very valid point at all. The 2nd option, Jesus, in the face of death, fearlessly tells the Jews (who have stones in their hands) they are false judges, will die and will be judged by the true Judge. One option has Jesus using a bad excuse and the other option has Jesus being Himself: fearless, never backing down, even in the face of death. Hehe :-) Always read the context. Read all of Psalm 82. It is short. Psalm 82 is being addressed to the unrighteous judges of Israel. Jesus was indeed claiming to be God in John 10:28 and John 10:30, as the Jews figured out in John 10:33. This is just a quick vid of me playing Demolition Derby (Hardest Setting) @ 1920 x 1200 (Full GFX) I am using the Logitech Formula force EX Wheel. Its a good wheel for £30, but the build quality is proper Budget/Shite. The force feedback is very realistic (I drive approx 50k miles a year btw), although it is very noisy (this dosent bother me). I've had mine 2 weeks and i think it will only last another 2 - 3 weeks before it starts to fail. It is getting wobbly around the column. I do drive rough, but so others. I will buy a G25 when this gives up.
