Meshuggah -The Theoretical KOLOSS Song (Tomas Haake feat. gp) 0.97 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 7685 exibições Hello dear fellow Meshuggah maniacs! i believe most of you watching this video are in as huge anticipation of koloss as i am..so just to make my long lasting and painful wait for this album slightly less boring i decided to make a short video regarding koloss..since (after extensive serarch) i haven't come across any other leak or preview of the album apart from the very primitive one-you probably now of which i'm talking about :P- i decided to make an imaginative Meshuggah track on guitar pro, following the only (and beforementioned) hint of the existing koloss song, the funny beat produced by the man-machine Tomas Haake during live chat in January..so the end result is kinda silly to be honest, but it was hell of a fun tracking it in gp ^^ as well as ofcourse editing it and finding the right tempo etc..NO-ONE can touch Meshuggah anyway,so mind-this is made for fun only :) anyway hope you guys dig it! oh and-I'M VERY SORRY IF SOMEONE THOUGHT IT'S THE ACTUAL SONG-IT ISN'T,doh ^^' ..i hate those fakes myself so that's why i'm apologizing..enjoy!. + Informações |

PETER RAGNAR / THE RAZOR'S EDGE: "In Celebration Of Ambition" 5.68 min. | 4.3333335 avaliação | 702 exibições The Razor's Edge Newsletter For People Who Live Life in the Pursuit of Excellence: "In Celebration Of Ambition" by Peter Ragnar Would you believe that I'm at my most ambitious walking through a meadow filled with flowers, or just sitting before a roaring fire? How can that be, you might wonder? It's under such conditions of relaxation that the mind is in its most creative space. When everyday tensions are released, the mind can then escape to dance with your deepest desires. Your imagination comes alive, your juices flow, your energy is unbound and directed toward solidifying the vapors into a concrete reality. "This unadulterated flow is called ambition." Louisa May Alcott described it this way, "Far away in the sunshine are my highest inspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see the beauty, believe in them and try to follow where they lead." Robert Browning chimes in with, "Man's reach should exceed his grasp, or what's a heaven for?" That sounds a lot like that knee-jerk word that the losers condemn - ambition. "Granted, the word 'ambition' entered the English language with an uncomplimentary meaning, referring to people who went around making speeches and seeking votes." However, it's more accurate to fit the word to one who is actively pursuing their dreams, a "go-getter" after goals. If you have any goals you've set for yourself, then why wouldn't you "go" after them? Why would you timidly let life pass you by? Perhaps it's because your peers might .... + Informações |

Recoil-Want 6.40 min. | 0 avaliação | 179 exibições Alan Wilder . PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Recoil began in 1986, when Daniel Miller (record producer and founder of Mute Records) heard some of Alan Wilder's demo recordings, which he had made on a 4-track cassette machine. These recordings were substantially different from anything Depeche Mode had released ? whilst they were still created using synthesizers and sampling, they featured little of Depeche Mode's catchy pop songwriting, instead opting for an experimental, John Cage-esque style. Due to the primitive and decidedly uncommercial nature of these pieces, Wilder and the record label decided to release the album inconspicuously, naming it 1+2. It eventually came out in mid-1986, not long after the release of Depeche Mode's well-received Black Celebration.. + Informações |

2011-01-22: Morlocks and Elo - The 2012 Fad 13.67 min. | 3.4 avaliação | 1245 exibições Hello, and welcome to the2012Fad.com. I am your host for the evening, Charlie Bluehawk. Last night, we chatted about "UFO Invasion the staged Event, and how Project Bluebeam, which by today's military standards is very old technology would be used to simulate giant alien space ships hovering over American cities, which would give the US government complete and total military control of our country. But so far, I guess we have just not frightened our Masters enough for them to try this trick on us, or, if Dick Chaney had gotten his way, he would have just dropped a nuclear bomb on an American city in order to keep little King George the Fifth in power. Today, I thought we might chat about another old story, this one written by one of the Masters, fellow by the name of HG Wells. It's amazing to me; the Masters, our Masters, own the entire western world. They own everything, including us, and yet with all their power, their wealth, they still want to be loved. It's an amazingly abusive relationship, we and our Masters. They hate us, they despise us, they fear us, and yet they want our love, our admiration, our worship. Of all the odd things that I see everyday, that is probably the strangest. Our Masters want us to love them, even as they are standing on our faces. Anyway, Mr. Wells wrote a little story called "The Time Machine", way back in 1898. Of course, in his time, all of these things existed, as the Masters have access not only to our technology but to the .... + Informações |

26. Race and Reunion: The Civil War in American Memory 51.70 min. | 4.714286 avaliação | 5302 exibições The Civil War and Reconstruction Era, 1845-1877 (HIST 119) Having dealt with the role of violence and the Supreme Court in bringing about the end of Reconstruction in his last lecture, Professor Blight now turns to the role of national electoral politics, focusing in particular on the off-year Congressional election of 1874 and the Presidential election of 1876. 1874 saw the return of the Democrats to majority status in the Senate and the House of Representatives, as voters sick of corruption and hurt by the Panic of 1873 fled the Republicans in droves. According to many historians, the contested election of 1876, and the "Compromise of 1877," which followed it, marked the official end of Reconstruction. After an election tainted by fraud and violence, Republicans and Democrats brokered a deal by which Republican Rutherford B. Hayes took the White House in exchange for restoration of "home rule" for the South. 00:00 - Chapter 1. Introduction: Exhibitions and Elections of 1876 11:21 - Chapter 2. The Off-Year Congressional Election of 1874: Shifts in Party Representation 22:26 - Chapter 3. Confusion in Rhetoric and Votes: The Presidential Election of 1876 37:16 - Chapter 4. Artificial General Intelligence: Now Is the Time 52.38 min. | 4.6734695 avaliação | 7852 exibições Google Tech Talks May 30, 2007 ABSTRACT Dr. Ben Goertzel - Artificial General Intelligence: Now Is the Time Essay: www.kurzweilai.net/articles/art0701.html Abstract: When the AI field was founded over 50 years ago, it was squarely focused on the grand dream of creating software displaying general intelligence at the human level or beyond. Since that time the field has drifted in a direction Ray Kurzweil has called "Narrow AI": the creation of intelligent software applications carrying out highly particular functions. The relationship between this sort of narrow AI and "artificial general intelligence" (AGI) as in the original dreams of the AI field, is an issue of dispute among experts. Some.... + Informações |
