"Celebrate" was the Swiss entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004, performed in English by Piero Esteriore & The MusicStars. Due to Switzerland missing the 2003 contest, the country was forced to participate in the semi final of the 2004 contest. here, it performed third in the running order, following Belarus' Aleksandra & Konstantin with "My Galileo" and following Latvia's Fomins & Kleins "Dziesma par laimi". During the performance, lead singer Piero accidentally hit himself in the face with the microphone. The song went on to receive no points, "nul points", from the 36 countries voting in the semi-final, coming 22nd and last. This therefore makes "Celebrate" one of the least successful Eurovision entries of all time.. + Informações

"My Galileo" was the first entry by Belarus in the Eurovision Song Contest, performed at the 2004 Contest in English by Aleksandra and Konstantin. As this was Belarus' debut entry, it was performed in the semi-final of that Contest. The song was performed second on the night (following Finland's Jari Sillanpää with "Takes 2 To Tango" and preceding Switzerland's Piero Esteriore & The MusicStars with "Celebrate!"). At the close of voting, it could only muster 10 points, which were enough for 19th place - thus forcing Belarus to qualify through the semi-final at the next Contest. The song is inspired somewhat by Belarusian country music and likens the singer's lover to Galileo. Many of the lyrics were difficult to understand in the live performance, as Aleksandra's accent was very thick. Leading up to the semi-final, Alexandra had throat problems, which could explain her, somewhat, shaky voice during the performance. On stage with Alexandra & Konstantin were 3 choir singers and one man playing (some kind of big flute instrument). Alexandra was wearing what could best be described as typical folk style clothing. The same was the man playing the flute. Konstantin was wearing normal casual clothes, and so was the 3 choir singers. Movement on stage was shallow, with Alexandra going back and forth while gesturing with her hands and the flute player rocking from side to side during the song. "Dziesma par laimi" ("A song about happiness") was the Latvian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004, performed in Latvian by Fomins & Kleins. The song is a rock-influenced track, with the singer telling his lover that "when there is nothing else, I think that I still have a song I can sing to you" and explaining that the song in question is one about happiness in the world. He sings that this is the kind of happiness which comes unexpectedly, "and takes us by the hand". As of 2008 this is the only Latvian Eurovision entry featuring lyrics in Latvian. Having debuted at the 2000 Contest, Latvia has been able to take advantage of the "free language rule", as well as the prevailing wisdom that English-language songs place higher than those in other languages. The song has been recorded in a number of other languages. The duo is credited with recordings in Lithuanian, Estonian, Ukrainian, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Finnish and English, as well as a Latvian-Belarusian bilingual version. All versions, except the English one, were made available for free download in MP3 format in both high and low quality, from the Fomins and Kleins website. This website is no longer in service. The website was mainly in Latvian, with just one page in English which was just a sentence telling visitors that they could download the song in all the different languages.
