Now this is a classic! Note the archer hood ornament radiator cap. A class act, this Buffalo New York company started as a bicycle manufacturer. The Depression did it in, eventually. The Silver Arrow, produced for the World's Fair in 1934, I believe, is a strikingly modern vehicle...too bad the company could not survive the economic bad times. This was filmed Saturday June 6, 2009 at the Fleetwood Country Cruize in London, Ontario Pierce-Arrow was once known as one of theThree P's of Motordom, the other two where Peerless and Packard, and Pierce Arrow was a status symbol of the era, and was often owned by Hollywood stars and Corporate tycoons, and many Foreign royalty had to have at least one Pierce-Arrow in there collection not exactly sure about this one, i do know its a Pierce-Arrow, but the exact year and model is difficult for me to tell, as is the coach builder, as these cars where from a different era, when these elite luxury auto brands like Cadillac, Lincoln, Pierce-Arrow, Duesenberg and others, would have coach builders build the actual body and interior tailored to the customers taste and fashion, where the car manufacture would often supply the nose (front end) and of course the rolling chassis and drive train, then the coach builders would fabricate the body and interior, and it would often be designed by and for the owner, thus at times no two cars where ever the same, this doesn't really exist anymore, except of course the car customizing companies out there, or in the more exact sense coach building is mainly for Hearses and Limousines today, where the coach builder gets a simplified vehicle (often back half of body not even built at the car factory) from say Lincoln or Cadillac, then they can simply add the hearse roof and interior, or simply stretch the body out to make a Limousine, thus Limos .... + Informações
