Phantogram came in to the Moog Sound Lab and re-imagined their unreleased song, "16 Years." Vocalist/keyboardist Sarah Barthel sings hauntingly through an MF-104Z Analog Delay while playing not one, but two Moog synthesizers. Her left hand is in charge of the Minimoog Voyager Select Series providing big fat bass lines; the Little Phatty Stage II is arpeggiating in latch mode throughout the entire song. It is also being MIDI synced with the drum machine that percussionist Tim Oakley is performing on. In addition to the drum machine, Tim uses the Minimoog Voyager XL for a percussive sound. Meanwhile, guitarist/vocalist Josh Carter covers both the full sustain and the mute modes of the Moog Guitar. Going through an MF-104Z Analog Delay and the MF-102 Ring Modulator, Josh creates an ethereal backdrop with the tremolo arm of the Moog Guitar. Fly through over San Francisco in Google Earth was captured along with the L and R tour route to L and R 1080i60 HD videos separately by using Black Magic Design Intensity Pro capture card. I used two computers, an i7 note PC to realize the flights in Google Earth and an i7 desktop PC with Intensity Pro PCI Express card connected via HDMI cable from note PC. As the CPU power and HDD writing was distributed to two PC and in consequence the captured L and R videos are very smooth and in excellent synchronization on the time sequence of non linear editing software, PremiereCS5.5. Additionally fake tilt-shift effect was applied in order to add miniaturization effect. This 3D video is intended to be playing back in Phantogram geometry to get the pop up effect. The schematics is shown in the figure as below; v-galleries.com You can see the buildings are popping up from horizontal surface. The parallax is designed to be appropriate for Phantogram viewing at PC monitor from relatively near distance. It may be exccess in dispality when you see on large 3DTV or projection to the large screen.
