Murder by Decree (Suite) 7.93 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 855 exibições Murder by Decree (1979) is an interesting mix of fact and fiction. Fact : It deals with the Whitechapel murders of 1888 perpetrated by the anonymous Jack the Ripper. Fiction : It stirs Sir Arthur Conan Doyle`s creation Sherlock Holmes into the mix. This makes for a very entertaining story and is quite believable along with the other hundred or so other conspiracy theories that exist about the Ripper murders. Christopher Plummer and James Mason make a worthy Holmes and Watson and are aided by a splendid supporting cast. The director is Bob Clark and the atmospheric music score is provided by Paul Zaza and Carl Zittrer. The suite includes...Whitechapel 1888 / Time to Die / Moods of the Ripper / The Chase / End Titles (Annie`s Theme). + Informações |

Rue Morgue presents My Bloody Valentine with cast and crew reunion (Part 1 of 7) 8.13 min. | 4.0 avaliação | 981 exibições Last January, Rue Morgue's presentation of My Bloody Valentine was cut short by a massive blackout. The screening was rescheduled for May 21, 2009 and featured a once-in-a-lifetime reunion of cast and crew members that included director George Mihalka, line producer Bob Presner, composer Paul Zaza, and cast members Paul Kelman (TJ), Neil Affleck (Axel), Lori Hallier (Sarah), and Alf Humphreys (Howard). After the film, the guests took the stage for a wonderful Q&A hosted by Rue Morgue Managing Editor Dave Alexander that went close to an hour - presented here in its entirety - and stayed in the Bloor Cinema until nearly 2:00 AM signing memorabilia for fans. Assistant director Ray Sager was unable to return due to professional commitments. While the power didn't go out this time, I was still bedeviled by technical issues. Because of problems with the house PA, I was forced to turn the camera on and off several times and didn't realise it was off while I thought I was shooting the introduction, and because of YouTube's time limitations I was forced to edit what I did succesfully shoot into an excessive number of parts in order to maintain a logical flow to the entire video. Still, this is pure gold for fans of the film. Thanks again to our delightful guests for making this the most memorable Cinemacabre yet. Alf deserves special mention for flying halfway across Canada to appear at the Bloor after literally receiving notice the day before! This was an all-too-rare celebration .... + Informações |
