Paul de Leeuw & Adele: Make You Feel My Love / Zo puur kan liefde zijn 5.75 min. (helemaal onder aan de tekst de MP3) Adele / Paul Make you feel my love / Zo puur kan liefde zijn ___________________________________ When the rain is blowing in your face, and the whole world is on your case, I could offer you a warm embrace to make you feel my love. When the evening shadows and the stars appear, and there is no one there to dry your tears, I could hold you for a million years to make you feel my love. I know you haven't made your mind up yet, but I would never do you wrong. I've known it from the moment that we met, no doubt in my mind where you belong. Jouw ogen zeggen mij vaak zoveel meer. Dan woorden ooit hebben gedaan. Als jij me aanraakt voel ik telkens weer. Vrijheid kan met liefde samen gaan. I'd go hungry; I'd go black and blue, I'd go crawling down the avenue. No, there's nothing that I wouldn't do to make you feel my love. Mijn .... + Informações |

Paul Godwin - Margarethe 2.78 min. | 4.5555553 avaliação | 2997 exibições Paul Godwin Margarethe b: March 28, 1902 Sosnowiec, Poland (then: Sosnowitz, Prussia), d: Dec. 9, 1982, Zeist/Driebergen, Holland nee: Pinchas Goldfein. Instruments: Violin, Leader. Paul Godwin is mostly forgotten today, but who was a large part of the pre-WWII culture of Berlin, Germany. While still a young man, Godwin was already performing at concerts in Warsaw, Poland, under his given name of Pinchas Goldfein. Curiously, Godwins true identity remains somewhat of a mystery. Hardly anything of his early life is known, and he is even forgotten in Germany where he had some of his greatest success. During WWII, the German archives were obviously strongly edited ("one may say the typical emigrant fate"). The young Pinchas Goldfein took violin instruction with Hermann Kaplan in Warsaw, Poland, and with Jenoe Hubay in Budapest, Hungary. In 1920, he relocated to Berlin, where in 1922 (21 years old), he formed his own first orchestra. By his fifth orchestra, he had five violinists, playing side by side. Concomitantly, he was also in as much demand as such other leading violinists of that time as Max Hansen, Curt Bois, Otto Reutter, Betty Bird and Paul O'Montis. On his many recordings, a great many singers interpreted songs by such composers as Werner Richard Heymann, Friedrich Hollander, Kurt Weill, and Willy Rosen. Paul Godwin and his Jazz Symphonikern could be heard playing for dances in such venues as the Delphipalast (Kant/Ecke Fasanenstraß), in the Revue-Theater von Rudolf .... + Informações |

Studio 2 Lightfoot León Nederlands Dans Theater II 2.18 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 12960 exibições The Bard of Avon was the title of the very first work that Paul Lightfoot and Sol León made for Nederlands Dans Theater in November 1989. Between then and now there has been an intensely creative period, much of which took place in one of the rehearsal rooms of Lucent Danstheater: Studio 2. Exactly twenty years later, during the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Nederlands Dans Theater, Paul Lightfoot and Sol León pay tribute to this room. A room animated with the tracks of generations of dancers and choreographers. A room where Paul Lightfoot and Sol León have steadily worked, since 1989, on building up an oeuvre that now counts as many as 39 choreographies. The music the choreographers are using in Studio 2 refers to Tabula Rasa, the first major dance piece by Ohad Naharin, which makes it an ode to important heritage. According to Lightfoot and León it might well be that the real history of the soul of Nederlands Dans Theater is locked in this room with its dance floor, walls and mirrors. For Studio 2 Paul Lightfoot and Sol León collaborated with Joke Visser and Hermien Hollander (costume and set design together with Sol León and Paul Lightfoot ), Tom Bevoort (light design) and dancers Bryan Arias, Astrid Boons, César Faria Fernandes, Chiaki Horita, Carolina Mancuso, Marne van Opstal, Spenser Theberge and Riley Watts (A cast). Touring in Holland now. See www.nederlandsdanstheater.nl. + Informações |

Gabriel Soulacroix sings O Richard, O Mon Roi by Gretry.wmv 2.17 min. | 0 avaliação | 716 exibições From my friend, Paul Rothwell Andre Gretry's Richard, Coeur de Lion - Blondel's Aria - O Richard, O Mon Roi Libretto by Michel-Jean Sedaine First Performed: Salle Favart, Paris, 21 October 1784 Date of Recording: Unknown A bit of information on this baritone: Gabriel Soulacroix (1852 - 1905) made his debut at the Theatre de la Monnaie in September 1878 in Gounod's Mireille. He spent seven years in Brussels, developing a repertoire which included Papageno, de Bretigny in Massenet's Manon and Beckmesser. Between 1882 and 1884, he also appeared with Gye's company in Covent Garden in Die Entfuhrung aus dem Serail, Meyerbeer's L'Etoile du Nord, Der Fliegende Hollander, Semiramide and Il Barbiere di Siviglia. From 1885, the Opera Comique was his home, and over the next twenty years, he sang a great variety of roles, including Germont in La Traviata, Schaunard in Puccini's La Boheme and Ford in Falstaff. He also appeared regularly in Monte Carlo. In 1894, he was Iago to Tamagno's Otello, whilst in 1904, he appeared as Belcore in L'Elisir d'Amore with a cast which included Enrico Caruso and Regina Pacini. He also sang Beckmesser at La Scala. He seems to have appeared only once at the Paris Opera in 1892. He died in the town of his birth in 1905. This was taken from the Scans my friend Paul did of the booklet in the album: Harold Wayne Collection Vol 40: The French Opera Tradition. + Informações |

Entre 1937 y 1942, Jenkins estudió en el Kansas City Art Institute, donde experimentó con la cerámica y se sintió cautivado con el arte asiático.
