Tuesday evening of May 24, 2011, I had the overwhelming honor of giving the word for our evening service at Praise Chapel of Perris Califonia. It was the first time that I had ever done this for a full church congregation; the first time was fifteen years ago for a small group of youth. It was truly an experience both new and wonderful. I had not ever thought about rushing behind the pulpit in any way... but God has His way through coviction of spirit, encouraagement through spirit filled ministers, and personal love for the Kingdom to plant a seed into the hearts of His children whom He has called for such a time and season. I am greatful for my pastors Rudy and Nadine Chacon who have accepted the call to be assigned to the city of Perris, driving long distances from where they live to minister God's heart, let alone their personal impact upon my life. Pastor Rudy has been mentoring me and it is an honor and priviledge in and of itself; to reflect, he was the one God chose to do this, wheras it seemed to be too great of a burden, responsibility, and prehaps, too litle of a whitness unto other pastors that had been in my life to do so. God has His way, wisdom, appropriation and perfect timing. He knows and considers the free will of all men and women... I've consented my free will to serve Him in every way that He has appointed me. Fox News ran a story about Barack Obama being a Muslim in 2007 and also Sean Hannity was claiming that Obama is a racist for going to the Trinity United Church of Christ, a Chicago church. At the age of 30 I had been an atheist/agnostic for almost 20 years having made a conscious decision against God when I was 10. With a science degree in molecular genetics and my only interest being making more money I was deeply entrenched in unbelief... until one day in 1980, God came knocking on my heart. Through a series of miracles and supernatural encounters God revealed Himself to me. He showed me the Truth and the Way to Life through His Son Jesus. That summer, my wife Marny and I sold our luxury home, our 40-acre hobby farm, and our business. We headed off to seminary for 3 years of ministry training and we've been serving God ever since. Money had been my god all my life and when we sold everything that summer we had today's equvalent of half a million dollars in the bank. In the first week of seminary God said to my wife and I on the same day, "With that much money in the bank you'll never learn to trust me. Do you want to learn to trust Me?" We said "Yes" and He called us to give it all away and follow Him for the rest of our lives, and we did. It's been 32 years now that we have been walking with the Lord and we can tell you from first-hand experience that He is good and He is faithful. He has never let us down, He has given us strength and grace for ever difficult circumstance. He has healed our bodies many times and has blessed us with everything we have ever needed and more.
