Track 10 off the 1993 compilation album "Lost Blues And Other Songs. Will Oldham with his "band" before going solo under the name Bonnie Prince Billy. When he was in Palace Music, Will Oldham's music was more lo-fi country-folk compared to the kind of music that he plays today under BPB's name, which is more focused on the songwriting and less on the arrengements of the music, or at least that's the case in "I See a Darkness" and "The Letting Go", which are the only ones that I own; but I've read that in his last albums he returned to a more traditional and country sound similar to its early releases. Anyway, Will Oldham is probably the best songwriter of the last 15 years.. + Informações
