Other Lives are a five part band hailing from Stillwater, Oklahoma. They recently graced the infamous AllSaints Basement walls with music from their highly acclaimed album 'Tamer Animals'. The band originally formed in 2004 as 'Kunek', releasing one album in 2006 under that name. However, they have since embraced the changes carried through by new musicians and lead man Jesse Tabish to develop and grow the indie rock sound that Other Lives are know for today. Their infections melodies and ghostly harmonies, coupled with this very special acoustic based set-up captured something beautiful that day, and we simply had to share it with you... Découverts à la Route du Rock. Le palais du grand large. Après une journée et une nuit de pluie quasi non stop. De très grands moments de concerts aussi. On se retrouve dans les fauteuils dangereusement moelleux du Palais du grand large. Juste à l'entrée de la vieille ville de Saint Malo. La journée est parfaite. Chelsea Wolf ouvre le bal et hypnotise la salle, Josh T. Pearson nous offre l'un des meilleurs concerts que l'on a pu voir du texan. Une courte pause, juste le temps de croiser Yann Tiersen et sa femme Gwen qui nous explique avec fièvre qu'il ne faut pas rater les Other Lives, que l'album qui vient de sortir est grandiose et qu'il faut voir ce que cela donne sur scène. Pour une première fois, c'est une magnifique découverte qui nous donne une envie folle de faire une session avec eux. Le groupe est justement quelques semaines plus tard à Paris. Un concert à la Flèche d'or. Et le lendemain matin, ils sont sur pieds, ou presque, pour un rendez vous dans un bar parisien à 10h !! Alors évidemment tout le monde tourne un peu au ralentit. On prend doucement possession des lieux. Chacun trouve sa place. On essaie le piano, la disposition pour filmer au mieux, pour avoir un son correct. Les Other Lives sont non seulement l'un des groupes de la rentrée qu'il faut suivre, voir, écouter (ne rayer aucune de ces mentions... !) mais en plus ils sont aussi charmants qu'attentionnés, même un matin après une courte nuit. Evidemment le groupe nous jouera Tamer Animals. Parce que .... + Informações
