Nevergreen (Orpheus) 3.80 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 105 exibições This is Orpheus at it again. I didn't make this beat, this is Emancipator's beat, but I wrote the lyrics and rapped it. I'm going to put lyrics in the description from now on. These lyrics are 99% right. What I rapped is correct, but my memory might be lacking now. Sittin back I'm chillin staying alive Not working a 9 to 5 Hoping you feeling my vibe I'm hoping that you're enjoying the ride On this journey of life Man we all pick a side Do you mean to live by any means? Living for the moment to snatch up that green? Or do you think you're more the saintly type Who falls into light and fights to save the night Being honest, I say I'm a sinner You got two choices, lose or be a winner I saw the price to pay to come out on top There comes a time when we all gotta stop Bein on the streets, I've seen hope and despair I've seen poverty, I've seen souls laid bare Have you only had 1 jacket to wear? Yeah, I've been there *Talk the talk* Everyone's just out to get they own People living in mansions when you might not have a home And I don't know what to say I'm looking for the sun, but the skies are grey had a vision that I swore was god-given I was a famous rapper, but I wasn't money-driven But then I realized, this was an illusion in disguise Hip-Hop is my truth, but rappers tell lies I try to write these words, to tell you what I seen bout this world so dark that the trees are nevergreen I see the skies go darker, people grow apathetic If hip hop is dead, then I swear to not .... + Informações |

SUNDAY MORNING (Maroon5) BOSSA NOVA VERSION (Lyrics) 3.67 min. | 4.862069 avaliação | 7348 exibições Origins and history of "bossa nova" musical style The musical style evolved from samba but is more complex harmonically and less percussive. Bossa nova emerged primarily from the upscale beachside neighborhoods of Rio de Janeiro as opposed to Samba's origins in the favelas of Rio. Certain similar elements were already evident, even influencing Western classical music like Gershwin's Cuban Overture which has the characteristic 'Latin' clave rhythm. The influence on bossa nova of jazz styles such as cool jazz is often debated by historians and fans, but a similar "cool sensibility" is apparent. Bossa nova was developed in Brazil in the mid 1950s, with its creation being credited to artists including Johnny Alf, Antonio Carlos Jobim and João Gilberto. One of the first songs was "Bim-Bom"(Gilberto). Bossa nova was made popular by Dorival Caymmi's "Saudade da Bahia" and Elizete Cardoso's recording of Chega de Saudade on the Canção do Amor Demais LP, composed by Vinícius de Moraes (lyrics) and Antonio Carlos Jobim (music). The song was soon after released by Gilberto. The initial releases by Gilberto and the internationally popular 1959 film Orfeu Negro ("Black Orpheus")(film score by Luiz Bonfa) brought significant popularity of this musical style in Brazil and elsewhere in Latin America, which spread to North America via visiting American jazz musicians. The resulting recordings by Charlie Byrd and Stan Getz cemented its popularity and led to a worldwide boom with 1963's Getz .... + Informações |

ROBERT PATRICK SONG "HADES' SONG" (WITH CAPTIONS) 1.80 min. | 0 avaliação | 25 exibições From "Orpheus & Amerika" HELL IS THE INABILITY TO LOVE YOU. HELL IS THE INABILITY TO LOVE. I CAME INTO THIS WORLD A FLAME, MET SUFFERING AND GRIEF AND SHAME, KILLED FEELING WITH MY ONLY AIM SMOTHERING THE HUMAN HEART I BLED FROM. LIFE WAS AN ENDLESS AGONY OF LONGING. I TRADED FEELING TO BE FREE. LIVED POWERFUL AND PURE AND PURGED, THEN SUDDENLY GREAT MUSIC SURGED WHEN OUT OF DARKNESS YOU EMERGED AWAKENING THE FEELINGS I HAD FLED FROM. YOU BROUGHT ENCHANTMENT FIRST OF ALL, THEN PASSION, MOST ACCURSED OF ALL, AND, FINALLY AND WORST OF ALL, THE TERROR YOU MIGHT TAKE THEM ALL AWAY. LOVE IS THE INABILITY TO LOSE YOU, THOUGH YOU HAVE BROUGHT REMORSE AND DREAD, DREAD THAT IF I ABANDON YOU I'LL FACE MY ANCIENT FEARS ANEW LIVE SUFFERING REMORSE AND RUE AND ONLY ADD THE AGONY OF LOSING YOU.. + Informações |

Has history been tampered with? Very peculiar historical duplicates and parallels. Why that? 6.17 min. | 2.8108108 avaliação | 8297 exibições Has history been tampered with? One of the principal indications of the mediaeval origins of many ancient documents is the very existence of a Renaissance when all of the ancient scientific disciplines, philosophy, arts, and culture in general are assumed to have been revived. The major driving force was the dynasty of Medichi of Florence starting with Cosimo the Elder, Lorenzo the Magnificent, Popes Leo 10th and Clement 7th. The hub of the Renaissance; one of the world's most architecturally beautiful cities; with countless museums and galleries crammed with masterpieces. Here is where Florence assumes its crucial role in European and world history. Experts in both trade and banking (the Medici were to finance many of the adventures that opened up trade routes around the world), the city grew staggeringly rich. The families liked to flaunt their wealth, and money was poured into patronage of the arts, as Florence became a home to artists, sculptors, architects and musicians. As scholars rediscovered or created under aliases the ancient literature and culture of Greece and Rome, Europe emerged from the Dark Ages; meanwhile the likes of Michelangelo, Donatello and Brunelleschi (and a hundred more whose works adorn Florence today) were pushing the representational arts to ever-greater heights. An explosion of intellectual energy in the city saw radical thinkers (such as Machiavelli or Savanarola), and the dissemination of their ideas via the new medium of printing. The .... + Informações |

Has history been tampered with? The Dynasty of Medici bankrolls Ancient Rome and Greece 6.43 min. | 3.5945945 avaliação | 5855 exibições Has history been tampered with? This book will either change your entire perception of history, or infuriate you to the extent of wanting to burn it preferably with its author. It all depends on the extent to which you are ready to follow the brilliant mathematician AT Fomenko in his extensive and meticulous research involving the application of empirico-statistical analysis methods to data received from numerous ancient documents chronicles, dynasty tables etc. The results of this research prove the history of humankind to be drastically shorter and a lot more eventful than what the dominating historical discourse suggests. There is hardly an area of human history that would not be covered in the present work, and the author demonstrates encyclopaedic education, great eloquence, and a truly good knowledge and understanding of the more than numerous sources that he uses, which is a rare occurrence. The book definitely contains an abundance of chunky facts for a prying mind, to say the very least.. + Informações |

10. Purgatory I, II 70.98 min. | 0 avaliação | 3021 exibições Dante in Translation (ITAL 310) In this lecture, Professor Mazzotta introduces Purgatory and proceeds with a close reading of Cantos I and II. The topography of Mount Purgatory is described, and the moral system it structures is contrasted with that of Hell. Dante's paradoxical choice of Cato, a pagan suicide, as guardian to the entrance of Purgatory ushers in a discussion of freedom from the standpoint of classical antiquity, on the one hand, and Judaism, on the other. In his refusal to be enslaved by the past, both on earth and in the afterlife, Cato is seen to embody the virtues of exile, setting an example for the penitent souls of Ante-purgatory (Purgatory II), including the pilgrim, who still clings to the comforts of the past. 00:00 - Chapter 1. Purgatory as an Idea and as a Poetic Construction 07:34 - Chapter 2. Canto I: A New Departure 16:35 - Chapter 3. The Muses: Tonality and Orientation 23:27 - Chapter 4. Cato 30:14 - Chapter 5.
