This was shot for my Cine 4 class at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA in the spring of 2010. It was shot around and a little outside of Gold Hill, Oregon where Karen and I were staying at as a guest at Dylan's parents house. One of the best trips of my life! Dylan's family was absolutely wonderful and spoiled me and Karen while we were there! This was shot on Kodak Vision3 250D on the Arri 35-3 with crystal sync motor. Shot at 70fps. For the shot down by the water Dylan and I carried the camera, tripod, mattebox and filters, 12v block battey, and set of zeiss high speed prime lenses down the side of a cliff to get down to the bottom. The story behind our videos - www.facebook.com Hello everyone. First I want to say hello to all of our new subscribers! Both Donna and I feel blessed to meet so many new people from all of the world. Thanks again! Donna and I finished our trek up Sweet Creek, a few miles above Mapleton Oregon. This water fall is at the end of the trail. We met people from the local area in addition to travelers from British Columbia, Nebraska, California and other parts of Oregon. This trail is a very popular and easy to get to. The day was nice, which is unique for the Oregon coast. While the rest of the country is battling with record drops in temperature, we are finding record highs. On this day the sky was partially cloudy and about 65 degrees. We heard and saw small birds moving from tree to tree, picking small morsels of food from the moss covered branches. It was a great day for all of us! Silver Falls State Park is much larger than the nationally recognized falls area. It is the largest state park in Oregon, some 8700 acres in size with a multiple-use trail system of more than 22 miles. The most well-known feature of the park is the "Trail of Ten Falls" which is the focus of this tour. Please note Special Rules on Pets: Silver Falls State Park welcomes visitors and their pets.
