The Garden of Gethsemane is located on the Mount of Olives on a hill overlooking the walls of Old Jerusalem. Jesus would come to the garden to pray, and it is here where the Roman soldiers arrested him before his crucifixion. On the day of March 17, 2010, we visited the garden, full of ancient olive trees. From here, we could hear gunfire coming from the Old City, as conflicts are going on around East Jerusalem.
