It is a great concept album, containing great time changes, beautiful vocals, and amazing choir. The album sounds very spacey but also down on earth alike at the same time, the feeling of being into the future and the past, sometimes both at the same time remains through the whole album. Nektar albums are very different and each album might take a while to get into, but when you are, then they sound amazing! Nektar: Recycled (Remaster) The Progressive Rock genre didn't exist when Nektar recorded Recycle. Even now Nektar wonders if they were really prog, or if they were just ... Nektar. It's almost impossible to categorize the band because each album was so different from its predecessor. So the thought that occurs while listening to this truly excellent remaster is: Was Recycle the most progressive of Nektar's albums? It has all the elements. Varied time signatures, tempo shifts, lots of rock, some jazz, classical influences, elegantly crafted instrumentals with wonderful guitar and keyboard interplay, all the classic '70s instrumentation and compositional styles, epic soundscapes, rich two and three part vocal harmonies, contributions from synthesiser wizard Larry Fast -- it's all there. And the hooks ... these melodies will stay with you for months! The original 1976 version of Recycle comprises 11 tracks, but there are 22 on this CD. Not only was the original mix remastered, but this expanded release includes a second copy of each song mixed by Beatles engineer Geoff Emerick. It is a fascinating exercise to play the two mixes of each song back to back. The technical approach is so different that you sometimes have to listen really closely to be convinced that they're taken from the same recordings. The original version was raw and energetic and powerful, but the Emerick version adds a touch of class that makes these 29 year old songs new and relevant all over again. So .... + Informações

Remember the Future is the fourth album from Nektar. It is a concept album featuring one song divided into two parts. On the original LP, each side contained one of the two parts. It was first released in 1973 by Bacillus (Bellaphon). The album was re-released in 1990 on LP and CD by Germany's Bellaphon. The mix used for this release was the LP mix that was rejected. In 2002 Bellaphon remastered the album from the original tapes and reissued it on CD with two bonus tracks, which were Radio Promo edits. This is the first time the correct LP mixes are released on CD In 2004 Remember the Future was once again re-released, but this time by the UK's Eclectic Discs/Dream Nebula Recordings. For this reissue the remastered version was used and they added a third Radio edit of the title track. This version was also released as a SACD. The 5.1 surround mix on the SACD layer; the 2 channel audio CD layer contains the 2002 remix. Track 3 ("Remember the Future") is an edit released on a various artists compilation album titled "Made In Germany." Tracks 4 and 5 are radio promo only single edits.
