Pajama Club is the eponymous 2011 debut album by Pajama Club, the band formed by Crowded House songwriter Neil Finn and his wife Sharon Finn. The album was released in 2011 It is change in style from the material Finn performs with Crowded House, with a more groove oriented feel. Neil Finn opens his extremely entertaining intimate solo show at London's Jazz Café with the most fantastic song ever (penned by Neil and Tim Finn for the first Finn brothers album). I found it very interesting that he chose this particular track to open the night. To me it's like a reference to the Bush Hall gig from earlier in the year, as if he wanted to say "See, I CAN play it. I DO know the chords!". As far as I'm concerned, he could play it backwards and I'd still love it to pieces! I am however not entirely convinced that the first verse of this version is 100% correct. It sounds odd to me. What is wrong with it? I do have a picky nature after all... but maybe it's my camera or just me and my deteriorating sense of hearing. I saw 5 gigs in 10 days this month and last night the lady in front of me fainted (Oh no! Not again!), because the speakers next to us were causing earthquakes... If you don't know what to make of the Susan Boyle quote, it's a reference to the housewife-turned-singing-sensation's cover version of "Don't Dream It's Over" on the Oprah Winfrey show that week.. + Informações

This is pre Split Enz - 1977 and a demo recorded by Neil Finn whilst in his first band who were called After Hours. It was recorded (I presume) at Mandrill Studios in New Zealand just before he left to join Split Enz in London. This is the second and only other After Hours demo I have come across. I did have - and was hoping to pop up - another song called 'Platform Three'. Not the demo, I dont have that - but a live performance of Neil supporting Split Enz in 1976. Unfortunately - I transferred that to CD in about 1995.. and seem to have used a rubbish CDR.. as it 'scratches' as you play it... its totally unlistenable.. so i've lost that... somebody out there might wanna send it my way again ??. + Informações
