My attempt to start writing my own 'mythopoeia', complete with plenty of introspection and plenty of poetry. As mentioned in the audio, here are (some) of the words that I am reading (the poems, not the commentary, since I made that up as I went along. Obviously. ;) ) Not all, because descriptions are not allowed to be long. Baying 5: Anima Midway upon the journey of my life, I'll fall under the shadow of the Sphinx, Who captures my whole self within her gaze, And holds me in what others call bleak eyes, A glance that lashes o'er a tarot spread. A falcon will grace her shoulder gauntlet, Behind the baying of her hounds will rise She looses these on fools who stumble in To a private moment's grotto unprepared. And first I hear the terror of her living laugh, Until she says: "Once I sat cross-legged On a flower floating over the void; And I learned a certain stillness, silence; I learned the words that cut through cloth and skin. I have nine lifetimes, would be honoured still To see you trip over one of the worst." She has no patience for poetry as cant But lives a Grecian epic as a sonnet. Baying 3: Yahweh No hands -- no feet -- no loins -- no mouth -- All geist, This ageless king who haunts the jealous sky, The clouds that hang, a tortured arm's reach away From the arid desert of their humble caves. The Lord of the Rings is an epic high fantasy novel written by philologist JRR Tolkien. I created a small short film in order to portray the simpleness of fairy tales and the act of creating a world which is different from reality. The character in the film is in turmoil; his partner is sick and gives her last hope to him. In a rush to get what his partner needs, the character stops to rest at a swamp, in which he finds shiny beans floating in the water. In a sudden revelation the man decides he can find better joys in life, by throwing away what his partner gave him and going away with the careless people in the last scene. Although not completely made obvious, the world is void of the general society that makes up reality and only in pleasure do people live. In relation to Jack and the Beanstalk, I emphasised the stairwell as the descent to the clouds that Jack takes after he grows his magic beans.. + Informações
