This Black Sabbath cover was superb! The "Bastards" did the classic "Fairies Wear Boots" and it smoked! These songs were out of three sets of songs performed at Forbidden Island in Alameda on Saturday March 13, 2010 thee Bastards did a fantastic matinee show! This is part of the Island's indie band series and it doesn't get any better than this! Talk about some talent these guys and girl Szandora Lavey literally tore the Tiki bar up! With Jesse Del Quadro on guitar, Shaun Coleman on bass, Eric Schauer on drums the "Bastards" are definitely going places! They performed some rippin' originals and even some intense surf ballads that leaves a twanging sound in your ears long after the show! Kristian Wralstad and myself had the pleasure shooting this "Surfer meets Sabbath" band and did a two camera shoot. Most of the time I was doing the run and gun technique of shooting where you go with the flow and action of the music or groove and catch it with the camera.. + Informações

while trying to get video of a wild octopus, it suddenly dashed towards me and rips my shiny new camera from out of my hands, then swims off, all while the camera is recording! he swam away very quickly like a naughty shoplifter. after a 5 minute chase, I placed my speargun underneath him and he quickly and curiously grabbed hold of the gun as well, giving me enough time to reach in and grab the camera from out of his mouth.
