Let's try out my new Mossberg 590 A1 shotgun. This is the standard model with just a bead sight. I like it !!! I don't even get T&E guns from Mossberg, who doesn't even know i exist, I'm sure. Of course, I wouldn't come cheap, and I'd let you know that if it ever happened. I saw some threads on how to ghost load or float one and I couldn't get that method to work. So I did a little investigation on my own and found a decent way to do it. I fumbled a couple times during filming but it can be done very quickly with practice. Be safe and responsible out there. I have not tested how reliable the ghost loading affects function but it work good with hand cycling. I need to get out to the range to prove it out.. + Informações

In this multi-part review series by Nutnfancy, three excellent pump combat shotguns are covered in detail: the Remington 870 (Talo Special Edition), the Mossberg 590A1, and the discontinued Winchester 1300 Defender (similar gun by FN USA now). There are a couple of other players in pumps like FN, Charles Daly, and some off brands but these three are the stars of the series. Several semi-automatic combat shotguns also compete against this type and these brands. These autos include the Benelli Super 90/M2/M4, the Remington 1100/11-87 Tactical series, the Mossberg 930, Saiga variations, the Beretta FP101(discontinued), Winchester Super X3 (more of a hunting gun), FN SLP, and a few others. However these auto guns rarely function well on low-base/low power shot loads, needing full power loads to reliably cycle (w/o port or spring mods). Seemingly not a big deal right? Wrong. That's because you have to train on the shotgun to get good at it., pump or auto. Training with full power loads will bankrupt you if you are paying the bill (even PDs have a tough time affording the cost), you will soon quit, and your skills will suffer. A good combat pump shotgun will cycle any load you throw in it and it will do it all day long with almost perfect reliability. I do a little show and tell on the Mossberg 500 pum action bullpup. This is a very intimidating looking shotgun. It is also a Mossberg and with that name comes the quality and reliability that defines a Mossberg shotgun. It has starred in a few movies and TV shows. It is not surprising with the futuristic look. This shotgun has all the qualities you look for in a great home defense firearm. The left handed people will not like this shotgun unless they enjoy hot ejected shells slamming them in the head. lol. Lefties must hold this shotgun like a rightie. I know that certain SWAT teams around the country have used and in some cases still use this 500 but, I do not think the Military ever did. **Don't Forget to Rate, Comment, and Subscribe!!** I wanted to do a little show and tell on this interesting shotgun. It's a Mossberg 590 inside of the Mossberg Bullpup stock. This stock will also fit a Mossberg 500. The upside to the bullpup design is that it is compact in it's overall length. This particular design however makes for a bulky gun. It can feel very awkward in how it manipulates. It's 20" barrel and full length magazine tube allows for good capacity at 8+1 with 2 3/4" shells. The weight of the gun is greater then I'd like which makes it a handful, but also mitigates recoil; as does the bore axis on the stock. The protective plate on the stock makes it unusable for left handed shooters. This is a major disadvantage with the design. The Kel-Tec KSG remedied this by making it's ejection to the bottom of the gun. Overall this is not my favorite shotgun...I prefer a more traditional style tactical shotgun. It's overall length does make it ideal for tight or constrained spaces, but the blocky bulkiness and weight makes it hard to manipulate easily.
