"The Metamorphosis Melody" is a charming collection of songs that sway among the harder tendencies of metal and the soothing melodies of atmospheric bliss. Heavy guitar riffs and thundering drums meet the emotive vocal lines and dreamy interludes that Carmen makes her own, while the rest of the band, notwithstanding, ennoble the tracks such as "Spellbound" or the beautiful ballad "Goodbye" with their musical expertise.
