Delving into my Legrand reserves I've come up with this rarity from an early 1960s Joseph Losey film. The brazen feel suggests Miles Davis and Gil Evans but Legrand rises above his influences turning in an almost seamless jazz inflected suite of some 20 minutes and like his Miles Davis album in New York 1958 the orchestra is coloured by flute and harp textures. The score has a superb bronzy moodiness, more evidence of Legrand's status as finest living orchestrator.. + Informações
