I got this from a VHS bootleg copy of the Japanese laserdisc release of "Megazone 23, Part II". It's the alternate ending that Harmony Gold had gotten Tatsunoko to animate for "Robotech: The Movie: The Untold Story". It's done in the "Megazone 23, Part I" style. It was thrown in as a bonus for the Japanese fans. Tatsunoko likely didn't have permission to use the Robotech audio, so there's an instrumental piece dubbed in instead. What's odd is there's English narration giving the Megazone 23 story, even though this alternate footage has to do with Robotech. Since the main feature ("Megazone 23, Part II") was dubbed into English for a Japanese-only release to teach English to Japanese students, there are Japanese subtitles that translate the English into Japanese.. + Informações

Part 1 of 2 When the original Megazone 23 was adapted into ROBOTECH: The Movie, a new ending was commissioned and animated to give ROBOTECH: The Movie a happy ending. The ending is not part of the Megazone 23 cannon. Megazone 23 Part II was dubbed into English by Harmony Gold as a teaching tool for Japanese students to learn English. Included before for the start of Part II was "PRESENT FOR YOU" a segment which had all the newly created footage that was for ROBOTECH: The Movie and an English narrator recapping the events of Part I. As the footage was created for the ROBOTECH franchise and not the Megazone franchise, PRESENT FOR YOU has no dialogue other then the narrator and is shown with music playing over it.. + Informações
