Or done in 4:33 of silence? Or was 5 dancers on a diagonal line? The way I see it dance, or most dance, has the same structure - lights go on, music and movement start and they all end together. It's essentially the same skeleton every time. Whether it's San Francisco Ballet or Robert Moses, the skeleton is the same. Just the meat around the bones has changed. The costumes are different, the music is different, the performers are different etc. But still essentially the same piece. In this show, I am using works by Trisha Brown, John Cage, Jess Curtis, Paul Taylor, and Yoko Ono as points of departure. Some pieces will be fairly straightforward recreations of the structures. Other pieces are using a structure or an element from a piece to examine or express something different from the original intention. The title of the show and all but one title of the pieces are taken from sentences in an Iris Murdoch novel. Madness is War. Produced by Iguana Productions. Music by MORTAL ENGINES (Don Avera). 2009. This film deals with the intertwineability of war and madness. The first section deals with the madness brought about by an evil spirit unleashed by an almost-victim of a human sacrifice gig. Italian Horror at its best. The second section is a representation of the sub-genre of a pre film noir style that existed to warn war workers in WWII to watch out for evil ENEMY spies etc. The third section deals with the build up to war with the training of acrobats; who under the command of a gum poppin' Klaus Kinski somersault about the evil axis horde. The 4th section deals with the japanese war on China in the 1930's. The japanese style of war was heavy into killing innocents and the madness of the victims returned to them in the form of a few excited atoms.. + Informações

The Story: Occupying the unusual status of simultaneously being my fourth short film and first foray into straight horror, Supply & Demand was the last project I made through the auspices of my Alma Mater , the Palm Beach/Miami Film School. It is also the one that I ultimately put the most heart and soul into. I gave everything each time I've stepped behind a camera, but this was something I'd been building towards since I was five and first caught "Creature from the Black Lagoon" on the Saturday night ABC monster movie program "Creature Feature",a moment which secured my love of horror for all time. For my first attempt and writing and directing an entry in my favorite genre, I wanted to pay homage to the sort horror stories I enjoyed as a kid- stories based on the theme of ironic justice that EC Comics and later Creepshow (itself an homage to EC comics) pulled off so well. In this twisted tale, a cruel young executive receives a ghastly lesson in the importance of providing for his fellow man. The Premiere: This film screened as part of a short film showcase held at the Mos' Art Theater in West Palm Beach, Florida back in April of 2011, where it was very well received (which somewhat surprised me since there were audio issues and the projector they were using to screen the films blew the colors out in several of the shorts, my own included). Not Foolish 2 had a set of dip switches that you could toggle to alter the behavior of some of the effects in the demo. This is what the meat of the demo looks like with most of them toggled away from their defaults. The "sync is out of range" thing actually happened at SB99. That part of the demo uses a 256x256 screen resolution, which the projector used to display the demos in theater didn't support.
