Max Frost & The Troopers - The Four Best Songs from the WILD IN THE STREETS Soundtrack 10.25 min. | 4.9166665 avaliação | 18717 exibições Lots of people have been asking me for more material from Max Frost and the Troopers or from the WILD IN THE STREETS movie. So, here are four great songs from the original soundtrack album, released on Tower Records in 1968. None of these songs has ever been released on CD: 1) "Wild in the Streets" 2) "Listen to the Music" 3) "Love to Be Your Man" 4) "Fourteen or Fight" Interestingly, two of these songs--"Wild in the Streets" and "Love to Be Your Man"--do not appear in the actual film, and the version of "Fourteen or Fight" that is featured on this soundtrack album is quite different from the one heard in the movie. Although on the album cover some of the album's songs are credited to The 13th Power, The Second Time, and so on, almost all the songs are credited to Max Frost and the Troopers on the record label. Ultimately the "band" name is irrelevent, though, as the same basic group of musicians recorded all of the material.. + Informações |

Nuggets from Max Frost and the Troopers 10.03 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 10292 exibições We all know their classic hit "Shape of Things to Come," but what about Max Frost and the Troopers' *other* songs? Here are some of their best, taken from a variety of vinyl sources and including songs featured in the films WILD IN THE STREETS and THE GLORY STOMPERS. 1) "Lonely Man" 2) "There Is a Party Going On" 3) "Free Lovin'" 4) "52%" These songs come from some unusual sources, so I'll detail them here for interested collectors and scholars: "Lonely Man" is featured on Max Frost and the Troopers' sole album, SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME, released on Tower in 1968. I don't own a copy of that actual album, but this song was also included on an old compilation called TURDS ON A BUM RIDE. "There Is a Party Going On" is from the soundtrack of THE GLORY STOMPERS. The song comes from a promotional single on the Sidewalk label that has as its B side "The Stomper's Ride" by Eddie and the Stompers, another song from the GLORY STOMPERS OST. "Free Lovin'" is the flipside of the hit "Shape of Things to Come." It was featured in WILD IN THE STREETS. "52%" was the band's follow-up single and did make the charts, although only barely. I've taken the song from a promo 45 on the Tower label that has a stereo version on one side and the mono version on the flip. This was also featured in WILD IN THE STREETS. As most garage fans are aware, Max Frost and the Troopers were a group in name only. In actuality they just a studio outfit masterminded by Mike Curb and featuring members of his regular .... + Informações |

Max Frost and The Troopers - The Shape of things to come (Subtitulada Español) 1.92 min.

MAX FROST & THE TROOPERS THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME WHITE RABBITS 2.00 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 11323 exibições En 1968 se proyecta el Film "Explotacion Salvaje en las Calles" en la trama de la pelicula hay un grupo de rock llamado MAX FROST & THE TROOPERS quienes interpretan la rolita THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME.

Max Frost The Shape of Things to Come 2.00 min. | 2.9047618 avaliação | 39688 exibições "Wild In The Streets" is the best cult film ever made. It follows the meteoric rise of a rock star who becomes US President and revolutionary leader (Max Frost is played by Christopher Jones). Max initially becomes involved in politics in a crusade to lower the voting age in California to age 14 (in 1967 it was age 21). After helping to elect Johnny Fergus to the US Senate, he uses his popularity to get former child movie star and band member Sally Leroy, played by Diane Varsi ("Peyton Place"), elected to the US House. In the wake of her election, state after state lowers its voting age. Following her victory and dramatic speech before the House Of Representatives, voting rights protesters are shot dead in Washington DC Max then enters the race for US President. The rough and dirty campaign culminates in Max and his inner circle drugging the water supply of Washington DC in order to impair the mental facilities of the US Congress. Congress lowers the voting age and Max is elected in a landslide. At President Frost's first address before Congress, Johnny Fergus' assassination attempt is foiled and consequently President Frost is granted unprecedented power and authority. He declares 30 to be a mandatory retirement age after which individuals will be given LSD. As a reign of terror sweeps the nation, neo-Fascist paramilitary youth gangs create internment camps. At the very end, the film makes a subtle comment about the dangers of age discrimination when Max realizes that .... + Informações |

Max Frost and The Troopers - Shape of things to come 1.93 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 162 exibições Max Frost and The Troopers was a fictional rock music group created for the exploitation film Wild in the Streets, released in 1968. The film featured Christopher Jones as the highly influential singer Max Frost. The songs performed by Frost and his band, a group that was never formally named in the film, was credited to Max Frost and the Troopers in subsequent singles and album. The band name "Troopers" is based on the term "troops," the designation Frost used in the film to refer to his friends and followers. A studio group appeared on the soundtrack album for the film, along with incidental music penned by Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, and composed by Les Baxter, however the songs were not originally credited to Max Frost and the Troopers, but rather to The 13th Power. Due to the success of the song "Shape of Things To Come" as a single, an accompanying album by Max Frost and The Troopers, Shape of Things to Come, was issued on the Tower record label in 1968. Musicians playing on the album are believed to include members of Davie Allan and The Arrows (who also released the "Shapes of Things to Come" without lyrics), with lead vocals by Paul Wibier (who also wrote a majority of the songs on the album). The music is high-energy rock with some psychedelic touches. The group was produced by Harley Hatcher and Eddie Beram for Mike Curb Productions. Their first single was recorded with Curb's Tower subsidiary, Sidewalk Records. Subsequent singles were taken from their album .... + Informações |

Max Frost And The Troopers The Shape Of Things To Come 2.25 min. | 0 avaliação | 21 exibições This is Max Frost and The Troopers video of their hit song "The Shape Of Things To Come". Max Frost and The Troopers were a fictional rock group made up for the 60's movie Wild In The Streets. This was their big hit taken from the movie. The movie was about a young man named Max Frost who supports a senator played by Hal Holbrook. Max wants to lower the voting age to 14. He gets elected as president of the USA and ends up banishing all old people to camps where they are fed LSD. A campy type movie from the 60's. Asalways my videos are in tribute to my late husband Mike Harrell. I love you. Amen. Wild in the Streets 1968 Movie 96.57 min. | 4.952941 avaliação | 16966 exibições Christopher Jones stars as rock singer and aspiring revolutionary Max Frost (born Max Jacob Flatow Jr.; his first public act of violence was blowing up his family's new car). Frost's band The Troopers live together with him, their women, and others in a sprawling Los Angeles mansion. The band includes his 15-year-old genius attorney Billy Cage (Kevin Coughlin) on lead guitar, ex-child actor/girlfriend Sally LeRoy (Diane Varsi) on keyboards, hook-handed Abraham Salteen (Larry Bishop) on bass guitar and trumpet, and anthropologist Stanley X (Richard Pryor) on drums. When Max is asked to sing at a televised political rally by Kennedyesque Senate candidate Johnny Fergus (Hal Holbrook), who's running on a platform to lower the voting age from 21 to 18 (a genuine issue, not passed until 1971), he and the Troopers appear ? but Max stuns everyone by calling instead for the voting age to become 14, then finishes the show with an improvised song, "Fourteen Or Fight!", and a call for a demonstration. Max's fans (and other young people, by the thousands) stir to action, and within 24 hours protests have begun in cities around the United States. Fergus' advisors want him to denounce Max, but instead he agrees to support the demonstrations, and change his campaign ? if Max and his group will compromise, accept a voting age of 15 instead, abide by the law, and appeal to the demonstrators to go home peaceably. Max agrees, and the two appear together on television, and in person the next .... + Informações |
