Marni Nixon Medley 6.07 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 1999 exibições "Marni Nixon who?" you may ask. Possessor of one of Hollywood's finest voices, yet many are unaware that the beautiful voices seeming to issue from Audrey Hepburn in "My Fair Lady", Deborah Kerr in "The King and I" and "An Affair to Remember", and Natalie Wood in "West Side Story" are all one voice; Marni Nixon's voice. She was and is no stranger to Broadway, but the only time she actually appeared in a movie was in "The Sound of Music", where she is briefly seen as a nun in the song "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?" Growing up, I had always admired what I believed to be Audrey Hepburn's voice in "My Fair Lady" and Deborah Kerr's voice in "The King and I". So, you can imagine my surprise at finding those voices belonged to one woman. She never even received screen credit for the movies that she dubbed. I hope that this small tribute will give proper recognition to Ms. Nixon, as she is incredibly talented and has not received nearly enough credit for her work.. + Informações |

Sherman doing a version of I Love To Laugh ala Ed Wynn, and Pamela Shannon as Jane Banks. It is also noted that Marni Nixon and Bill Lee were also known as Hollywood's "Ghost singers" for many actors and actresses in Hollywood. Marni Nixon, of course, did the dubbing duties for Audrey Hepburn in MY FAIR LADY, Deborah Kerr in THE KING AND I, and Natalie Wood and Rita Moreno in WEST SIDE STORY. She also contributed to the original soundtrack of MARY POPPINS as one of the barnyard animals in the "Jolly Holiday" number. Marni is brilliant in EVERYTHING she does!. + Informações |
