this is from mark's very first comedy video. this could easily be his funniest and most imfamous story he's ever told. A few years ago my mom and I looked everywhere for this video, we had every single mark lowry video except this one and it drove us crazy there was one out there we didn't have. We went to every place in town that might have it and nobody did and nobody seemed to be able to order it either. At the time we didn't have a credit card (we were too broke to have a credit card) so we couldn't order it online. We basically thought we were doomed. I sent an e-mail to Mark's website and asked for advice on how I might be able to get a copy of it. I wasn't hinting around for them to send me one, I seriously thought they just may have a suggestion. They e-mailed me back and said they would send me one, I e-mailed back and said thank you very much that was very nice and asked how I should pay for it. When Bill Gaither first pitched the idea for this skit, Mark didn't want to do it, he said "what's so funny about that?" but Bill said "trust me" because he just could imagine in his head Mark doing this and Mark can make anything funny. One of Mark's most famous moments and the very first thing I ever saw of Mark Lowry. One word: "waterrrrrrr" funny fact: when Mark says "just a drinking problem don't worry about it...im kidding it's bill who has a drinking problem" this is part of a blooper. Jake Hess had made a comment that his hands couldn't stop shaking and Mark jokingly replied with "just a drinking problem don't worry about it" they later edited this to make it sound like Mark was refering to the donkey. I love it because it proves that this man isn't just funny, this man loves god and has such a way with words. He has serious god-given talent in singing AND writing. Beautiful!
