Friends, colleagues, acquaintances and mortal enemies, A group of us got together and decided to enter the Klondike Bar Video contest, where you produce a video, upload it and become eligible for a $100000 grand prize. One of the reasons was to raise funds for a documentary film I am in pre-production for on the lost sound of rock music, doo-wop. The video ended up being edited down considerably from our original concept, but we plan on uploading a "Directors Cut" after the contest is over. Some of you pro's will notice the anamorphic squeeze in the video. That was not expected, and unfortunately cannot be fixed at this late date. What we need is for the masses to come out and vote for our video by August 5. You can log onto: www.klondikecontest.com ...and register to vote. By participating in the voting process, you become eligible for a separate $25000 prize. Not bad for a few minutes of your time. After registering, you can search for our video by typing "Klondike Club" or "garp29." Apparently there is another video that uses "Klondike Club" so make sure it has our user name of ''garp29" attached. We entered the video in all 4 categories, so be sure to vote each time.
