The super short description would be industrial, since their sound fits well with bands like I:Scintilla, Kidneythieves, and Helalyn Flowers. Songs like Parasite and Trapped Inside spit, growl, and drag you through the cataclysmic heavy fallout world that this band thrives in. But the second theyre placed in that category, lead singer Natasha Cox will belt out soft lilting vocals on a song like Troubled Dreams or the band will pull back their heavy exterior for a more acoustic close and personal song like Fading and suddenly that label falls apart.. + Informações

I have never known quite what to answer. MKIO means so many things. It means an amalgam of 6 years of love, sacrifice, and dedication. Four band members, all from a different background, fused together in a common vision. We started this whole crazy mess in 2002 when Jon (drummer) and myself (singer) saw each other in a music school hall and thought how cool it was that we had the same Sisters of Mercy shirt on. I was studying keyboards, himself drums. So we started writing some stuff and couldnt find a singer. Jon didnt want to play the Phil Collins role, so the duty fell into my lap. So a few vocal lessons, songs, and band members later, we decided to start touring. By this time, Scott (the awesome guitar dude we met while opening for Collide) and Gordon (the crazy upright bass player dude that I met one day at music school while sharing stories of Texas) had joined our little musical operation. Because Jon came from a DIY punk background, we started touring pretty early on. The rest of us had a lot to learn from Jon. One day, after weeks and months of touring, we decided to take things a little further and went on a year-long adventure at what turned into one of the most intense, painful, beautiful, growing years of our life. I apologize ahead of time for the sound since although they sounded incredible live, my crap ass Canon Powershot A510 can't record sound worth a damn. Visually though, it looks pretty decent and even though it is all distorted, you can hear some of their two new songs "Picking at the Scab" and "Awake" Included in Part one are the following songs: 1. Someone Like You 2. Victory 3. Icarus 4. Picking At The Scab 5. Rapture 6. Awake This was the best live performance I have seen in the last five years. Was very cool to see a band perform at a such a small venue with more energy then bands that play arenas. Favorite show since Firewerk played with Hanzel Und Gretyl a few years back. If you get a chance, see this band. They are absolutely amazing live.. + Informações
