Erschöpft sucht er Trost und Unterschlupf bei seiner wunderbar chaotischen Freundin Nele (Sibel Kekilli), die zwar weiß, wie man Pandas rettet, aber in Sachen Beziehungen selbst noch nicht wirklich sortiert ist. Während Alex in Neles unordentlicher Wohnung über seine alte Beziehung sinniert, kommt er immer mehr ins Grübeln: Vielleicht müssen Männer doch harte Machos sein, im Stehen pinkeln und nur noch Moschus-Deo benutzen? Wird nun der MAN HydroDrive eingeschaltet, setzt eine am Getriebeausgang angeflanschte Pumpe die Radnabenmotoren mit bis zu 420 bar unter Druck. Diese werden dadurch in Drehung versetzt, dass immer abwechselnd nur bestimmte Zylinder mit Druck beaufschlagt werden, während gleichzeitig bei anderen Zylindern das Öl abfließen kann. Bei den unter Druck stehenden Zylindern wird der Kolben nach außen gepresst, die Rollen stützen sich am Nockenring ab und es entsteht ein Drehmoment. In traktionskritischen Situationen genügt ein Dreh am Sperrenschalter, um die Weiterfahrt zu ermöglichen und Verspätungen und zusätzliche Kosten zu vermeiden.
