Malicious and driver Dave Miller took home the first $12500 division of the Empire Breeders Classic Eliminations for 3-year old colt pacers Sunday May 23, 2010 at Tioga Downs. Malicious cut out the mile in a quick 1:51.3. He set fractions of 26.3, 57.2, and 1:24.1 before sprinting home in 27.2 to hold off Jo Pas Fod (John Campbell). Malicious was making his first start of his sophomore season. Windfall Blue Chip (Brian Sears) tried a first over grind battling through the stretch, but tired and finished third. Hes Gorgeous and Im Gorgeous both made breaks and were unable to get back into contention to make the final.
