Since 2007, I have been visiting Himalayas with the main intention of trekking. The serenity of the mystic Himalayas is beyond any human language. One needs to experience it direct. One simple walk through these lofty magical winding narrow paths is enough to recharge your batteries. And cleanse the psycho physical system of all the material contamination. Believe me, once you touch these cryptic and esoteric heights, you will never want to return to the filthy materially contaminated world below !!! My uncle who is a devotee of YSS expressed his desire to visit the Babaji's cave and requested me to accompany him. All expenses paid. So why not !!! Babaji's cave is at an elevation of about 2000 metres (6560 feet). Though it was monsoon month July, we were blessed with clear blue skies and bright sunny day. Myself, uncle and another couple from Haridwar started the journey around morning 9 to that mystic cave, along with our dear guide boy Mukesh. Mukesh was extremely blessed and fortunate to be born and live in the serene Himalayan heights. From the YSS Ashram or Dwarahat market, about an hour ride to Kukuchina from where it is a 3 km trek to Babaji's Cave. A normal casual walk of 1-2 hours each way. From the YSS Ashram, Dwarahat market is a calm 20 minutes walk. 4 km from Kukuchina is the Pandukholi at 8800 ft, that can be reached only by a strenuous trek.
