When I first saw this promo, believe me, I was shocked to find it even existed. With lots of hit records, promos certainly do exist but they're darn near impossible to find in any sort of condition. This one is a nice VG+ copy, and I'm glad it's part of my collection. As you can hear, it is the version of the song with hand claps (there are two versions and I believe both were issued on 45s). NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED - (Amy 943) Out of New York, this obscure disc was issued in October of 1965. From the 'Dimension Doll' who had the world-wide smash, 'The Loco-motion', Little Eva is teamed up with producers, Feldman-Goldstein-Gottehrer. If the backing track to this tune sounds like an unissued McCoys or Strangeloves track on Bang Records, it's because this production team was responsible for those group's hits and this track was recorded during the exact same time. I wouldn't be surprised if an unreleased version by one or both of them exists. It's a driving dancefloor take on the Ben E. King hit that is loaded with bass and drums galore and is one of Eva Boyd's best lost singles.. + Informações
