Lili Haydn is a violinist, vocalist, composer, guitarist, and actress. As a child, she pursued a career as an actress; at age eight she discovered the violin and began to focus on classical music. By the time Haydn was fifteen, she had played with the Los Angeles Philharmonic.George Clinton calls her "the Jimi Hendrix of the violin." Rolling Stone called her music "fiery and virtuosic... Lili Haydn has released four critically acclaimed major label recordings as a solo artist. She has played with, sung with, and opened for everyone from Roger Waters, Herbie Hancock, Sting, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Josh Groban, Seal, Matchbox 20, Cyndi Lauper, and George Clinton's P-Funk All Stars to name a few. In addition to Lili's extensive recording and touring career, Lili is the featured voice and violin on several films ans she is also an accomplished actress performing in various films & on TV. After performing and improvising on filmscores for several years, Lili has launched her own film scoring career, earning a fellowship from the prestigious Sundance Institute for film composing, and has scored six feature in the last several years. A humanitarian and activist, Lili also performs regularly for many human rights organizations. This ballad was written by Lili Hayden and Marvin Etzioni. Lili Haydn is a bright new vocalist who accompanies herself on the violin. She has been on the Tonight Show and been lead performance for several prominent artists. Called the 'Jim Hendrix of the Violin' by NPR, she brings a sincere intensity to her performance which crosses classical strength and contemporary relevance. The song, written in a minor key is plaintive and moving. The melody becomes infectious and if you're not a pedicel of granite you're likely to feel some kind of emotion. It will stick in your head.
