Traditional Gregorian chant - Veni Creator Spiritus 2.83 min. | 4.82971 avaliação | 199519 exibições www.ChantCd.com The Vespers hymn for the feast of Pentecost, Veni Creator Spiritus, sung by a group of seminarians. This Gregorian chant piece is the Latin version of "Come, Holy Ghost", a common Catholic hymn used at Confirmations. The seminarians immerse themselves in the timeless Liturgy of the Catholic Church, chanting the Hours of the Divine Office in common, and attending the Holy Sacrifice of Mass (Tridentine rite) every day. Each day is well ordered Mass, prayer, study, recreation, and work. All seminarians learn Gregorian chant, and make use of it every day. They chant the Hours of Prime, Sext, Vespers (Sunday only), and Compline. There are Sung Masses (Missa Cantata) on all 1st and 2nd class feasts, and there is a Solemn Requiem Mass every month. Many seminarians own a personal copy of the Liber Usualis. Some of their best chant has been recorded, which gave birth to the "Chant Compendium" series of Gregorian chant CDs.. + Informações |

Tell the Owl #3 pt 2 8.30 min.

She is best remembered for her semi-regular roles on The Beverly Hillbillies and Petticoat Junction and for being the voice of Walt Disney's Clarabelle Cow. Her mark in TV history is also insured by her memorable performance as the stern, no-nonsense boss in the classic I Love Lucy "Candy Factory" episode, "Job Switching" ("If one piece of candy goes by on the conveyor belt without being wrapped, you're fired!). Allman began her radio career in early 1926 at KHJ in Los Angeles as a programme arranger and children's story reader, and later as a singer. The Los Angeles Times of the day praises her abilities as a dialectician. It was there she met her first husband, musician Wesley B. Tourtellotte, in 1930. They divorced within several years. New York beckoned in 1933, where she did a 15-minute network programme of songs. On Oct. 30, 1933, the Times announced she was moving to KNX on a 15-minute programme to be heard Tuesdays and Thursday evenings. What was supposed to be a long-term contract ended March 3, 1935. Don't Kill Your Friends (1943 WW2 Documentary Film) 13.65 min. | 4.68 avaliação | 26047 exibições thefilmarchive.org An air gunner (AG) aka aerial gunner is a member of an air force aircrew who operates flexible-mount or turret-mounted machine guns or autocannons in an aircraft. Modern aircraft weapons are usually operated automatically without the need for a dedicated air gunner, but older (World War II and earlier) generation bombers used to carry up to eight air gunners. Most modern air gunners are helicopter door gunners, who typically have other primary roles such as crew chief or observer in addition to their air gunner role. Others fly as members of aircrews on gunships where their duties can include loading ammunition into guns and can manually fire the guns if computer systems fail. A tail gunner or rear gunner is a crewman on a military aircraft who functions as a gunner defending against enemy fighter attacks from the rear, or "tail", of the plane. The tail gunner operates a flexible machine gun emplacement on either the top or tail end of the aircraft with a generally unobstructed view toward the rear of the aircraft. While the term tail gunner is usually associated with a crewman inside a gun turret, tail gun armaments may also be operated by remote control from another part of the aircraft. The tail gun armament and arrangement varied between countries. During World War II, USAAF heavy bomber designs such as the B-17 Flying Fortress and B-29 Superfortress used a fixed gunner position with the guns themselves in a separate turret covering an approximately .... + Informações |

Barney tries to make himself look like a publicity photo of Rock Hudson. This episode features Mayberry's first actual death: Augusta "Gussie" Finch at 10:30 AM. Aunt Bee gives the Taylor' address as 332 Maple Road. Colonel Harvey's "Indian Elixir" is 85% alcohol. Andy says Aunt Bee is such a teetotaler that she will not allow even a fruitcake in the house, on account of "a brother she had." Beatrice Taylor (commonly known as Aunt Bee) is a fictional character from the 1960s American television sitcom The Andy Griffith Show. The show was televised on CBS from October 3, 1960, until April 1, 1968. The character migrated to the spinoff Mayberry RFD (1968--1971) when The Andy Griffith Show ended its run. Note that though she was the aunt of Sheriff Andy Taylor, virtually every character in Mayberry called her "Aunt Bee", regardless of whether they were related to her or not. Aunt Bee is the paternal aunt of widower Sheriff Andy Taylor and great-aunt to his son Opie Taylor. In the premiere episode of The Andy Griffith Show, "The New Housekeeper", Aunt Bee returns to Mayberry after a five-year sojourn in Morgantown, West Virginia, when Andy's housekeeper Rose marries and leaves his house. Aunt Bee thereafter manages Andy's household and becomes Opie's surrogate mother .... + Informações |

The two-part battle took place between November 14 and November 18, 1965, at two landing zones (LZs) northwest of Plei Me in the Central Highlands of South Vietnam (approximately 35 miles south-west of Pleiku). The battle derives its name from the Drang River which runs through the valley northwest of Plei Me, in which the engagement took place. "Ia" means "river" in the local Montagnard language. Representing the American forces were elements of the 1st Battalion and 2nd Battalion of the 7th Cavalry Regiment, and the 5th Cavalry Regiment of the United States Army. The North Vietnamese forces included the 66th and 1st battalion/33rd Regiments of the NVA as well National Liberation Front (NLF) (known world wide as the Viet Cong) of the H15 Battalion. The battle featured close air support by US bombers. Both sides suffered heavy losses and both claimed victory. The US lost 234 dead, with 242 wounded; November 17 was the deadliest ambush for Americans in the entire Vietnam War, with 155 men killed and 126 men wounded. CIA Archives: Anti-US Propaganda Intercepted from China - Listening Post (1960) 52.38 min. | 4.478261 avaliação | 105341 exibições thefilmarchive.org In China, there has been a history of anti-Americanism, beginning with the general disdain for foreigners in the early 19th century that culminated in the Boxer Rebellion of 1900. Later, Mao Zedong described the US as a "paper tiger," occupiers of Taiwan, "the enemy of the people of the world and has increasingly isolated itself" and "monoply capitalist groups." The Taiwanese Strait Crisis has led China to blame the US for any issues that arise in the bilateral relationship between China and Taiwan, as they believe that American support of Taiwan is an effort to weaken their country. Recently, in 2009, Luo Ping criticized America's laissez-faire capitalism and said that he hated America when the United States Treasury would start to print money and depreciate the value of the dollar, thus cheapening the value of China's purchase of US bonds. Chinese hackers have also conducted extensive cyberwarfare against American institutions and citizens targeting the US and its Western allies. Furthermore, China's leaders present their country as an alternative to the meddling power of the West. It was directed by Don Hartman who co-wrote screenplay with Edwin H. Knopf, based on play by Edwin H. Knopf. The music score is by Bronis?aw Kaper. One event in the film that slipped by un-noticed was when Lana Turner (at her own insistence and after an argument with the director) introduced "The Guadalajara Trio" by name, although they were not listed in the screen credits. In the manner of the way that Latino actors and musicians were often treated, they were also omitted from the credits of several other films like 'My Friend Irma Goes West" with Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis even though they did several beautiful songs. Steve Reeves and Sylva Koscina in Hercules (1958 Movie) 104.25 min. | 4.5339804 avaliação | 508783 exibições DVD: www.amazon.com thefilmarchive.org Hercules (Italian: Le fatiche di Ercole) is a 1958 Italian epic fantasy feature film based upon the Hercules myths and the Quest for the Golden Fleece. The film stars Steve Reeves as the titular hero and Sylva Koscina as his love interest Princess Iole. Hercules was directed by Pietro Francisci and produced by Federico Teti. The film spawned a sequel, Hercules Unchained (Italian: Ercole e la Regina di Lidia), that also starred Reeves and Koscina. Hercules made Reeves an international film star and effectively paved the way for the dozens of 1960s sword and sandal flicks featuring oily bodybuilders as mythological heroes and gladiators battling monsters, despots, and evil queens. Hercules has been broadcast on American television, is in the public domain, and is available in both VHS and DVD formats. In 1993 the film was lampooned on Mystery Science Theater 3000. The film's Italian title means "The Labors of Hercules". The film's screenplay is loosely based upon the myths of Hercules and the Greek epic poem Argonautica by Apollonius of Rhodes. In both myths and epic poem, Hercules' role in the Quest for the Golden Fleece is marginal; he abandons the expedition early-on when Hylas, his armor-bearer and eromenos (Greek: ????????), is lost on an island while searching for water. With Hylas conveniently absent in the film, Hercules' role is greatly expanded: he remains with the expedition for its duration, saves the Argo from destruction .... + Informações |

Filled with hatred for Cortner because he won't let her die, she communicates telepathically with a hideous mutant in the laboratory cell, telling it to kill the scientist.
