Recorded January 14, 2011 in Anaheim, CA. Featuring Megadeth, Hellyeah, Dean Guitars Girls Fashion Show, Michael Schenker, and of course the legend himself, the "King of Tone" Leslie West. This would be one of the very last shows Leslie West would play standing, with both his legs (Leslie's last performance standing was with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra in April 2011). The man who co-penned (and sang/played guitar on) one of classic rock's all-time great anthems, Mississippi Queen, was forced to get the lower portion of his right led amputated on June 20th 2011. West required the amputation to stop a septic infection that started in his foot, which he realized during a flight to a gig at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. KUDOS to the doctors and nurses who saved his life! As Jenni West said the day after, "The nursing staff and doctors have taken excellent care of him and should be called angels for their efforts and tenderness they showed us in this time of crisis." This story ends well, as months after Leslie West released his most successful album to date, and followed it with a tour with Uli Roth. Leslie West is know the world over as the King of Tone, but for many of his fans, he's an influence to us all that anything is possible if you take care of yourself and have faith and soul in Rock n Roll!
