Leslie Bricusse / Anthony Newley And Gene Wilder ~ Pure Imagination 3.28 min. | 4.7377048 avaliação | 20966 exibições Composed By Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley. Vocal - Gene Wilder ~ Pure Imagination ...This is one of my favorite songs from a motion picture musical score. There is a beautiful message here. This version of "Pure Imagination" is based on the audio ( edit and mix) for apshai32's Channel's tribute to "PIXAR". It's a fine version and I followed the audio blueprint. I tip my Willy Wonka hat to them.. + Informações |

Feeling Good - Jessa Tilley cover of Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse song 3.25 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 913 exibições Love this song written by Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse. First heard Nina Simone sing this song, which will always be the classic version for me, but recently heard Muse's cover, which reminded me of the song. Not having the music I had to work the chords out by ear using the Muse track, so apologies if I've made a musical gaff!! Enjoy :D. + Informações |

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory Conducted by Stephanie Caridad 4.57 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 1992 exibições Me debuting as a conductor with my school orchestra, the Manhattan Beach Middle School Chamber Orchestra. I enjoyed conducting quite a bit, and hope to continue with it, though cello is of course always my first priority and choice. I'm 13 years old. I've been playing the cello for four years. I conducted an orchestra for the first time three weeks ago. :). I also conduct along with songs on my iPod, though I don't really think this qualifies, as I'm not much help to the orchestra in my bedroom. :) Words and Music by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley Arranged by Robert Longfield. + Informações |

My First Love Song! - Anthony Newley, Joyce Jillson, and Gilbert Price! 3.32 min. | 4.7647057 avaliação | 3394 exibições From The Roar of the Greasepaint -- The Smell of the Crowd, here's one short, but sweet Show-Stopper! This is from the genius of Mr. Newley, and Leslie Bricusse. Also, this was the introduction, (one song,) of Mr. Gilbert Price! Given the concept of the show, Mr. Newley determined that Mr. Price was not suited for his character of the performer who had only one solo piece. After having heard Gilbert's voice, he immediately changed his mind. Corny to say, but "the rest is history!" Meanwhile, listen to lovely Joyce Jillson, and wonderful Mr. Newley sing their "love song!"DISCLAIMER: All rights reserved to the production companies and music labels that distributed and produced the music and performance respectively. Shirley Bassey - What Kind Of Fool Am I (Music/Picture Montage) / Live with Anthony Newley 6.30 min. | 4.6923075 avaliação | 6843 exibições 1963 / 1961 ABOUT this song: "What Kind of Fool Am I?" is a popular song written by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley and published in 1962. It was introduced by Anthony Newley in the musical Stop The World - I Want To Get Off. It comes at the end of Act Two to close the show. This song was recorded whilst Newley was on the road with this production in the States, after it had flopped in the UK; Newley didn't appear in the UK show. By the time the cast reached New York, Tony Bennett had re-recorded the song; scored a hit, which saved and revived his own flagging career. The song was a hit for Sammy Davis, Jr. in the year of its publication, peaking at #17 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and at #6 on the Billboard Easy Listening chart. It also won a Grammy Award for Song of the Year. In 1963 Shirley Bassey released this song as a Columbia Record single and her version reached #47 on the UK charts. LYRICS: What kind of fool am I Who never fell in love It seems that I'm the only one that I have been thinking of What kind of man is this? An empty shell- A lonely cell in which an empty heart must dwell What kind of lips are these That lied with every kiss That whispered empty words of love that left me alone like this Why can't I fall in love Like any other man And maybe then I'll know what kind of fool I am. What kind of clown am I? What do I know of life? Why can't I cast away the mask of play and live my life? Why can't I fall in love Till I don't give a damn And maybe then .... + Informações |
