After a clever performance in qualifying, the 40-year old Dutch driver is looking back upon two successful races. With his ROAL Motorsport BMW 320 TC, he qualified ninth for the first race, in which he gained one place to finish eighth. In the second race, he started with fresh tyres from second place on the grid and finished on the podium. History: Right hind/left front diagonal pair not swinging through full range of motion habitually. The first video clip is during a training ride, I rode in my Michael Stokes Centaur medium-wide tree, 3 1/4" wide channel saddle, and could feel a slight asymmetry but horse was pleasant and responsive when asked to go forward. The owner of the horse has been riding primarily in her western saddle recently. A week ago, owner decided to take an english lesson and tacked up with her own "Kincade" medium tree english saddle and we saw the gait asymmetry. We replaced it with my Centaur saddle--no improvement. We then put the western saddle on--no change there either. Lesson cancelled... The second video clip: One week later (yesterday) we try a lesson again. Owner tacked up with her own saddle. Gait asymmetry again. Video to show what's going on. This is not a new scenario. A year or so ago, a saddle fitting was done--the fitter was confronted with the owners not interested in spending a lot on a different saddle and told the owners that it wasn't a TERRIBLE fit, but that she thought there was a lameness issue. Next, a vet from the Horner & Nash practice did a lameness exam and the horse did not show lameness without being saddled, and they wanted to stop the exam there. After I pleaded that they see her in the owner's saddle, they agreed to look. I had them bring out the saddle and try riding her for the vet, and the lameness/gait asymmetry showed up again. Recognize the opening clip? You should. I figured it was only appropriate to be my opening shot too :D Ahh, the recently famous M292. This truck has an amazing sound when he gets on it a bit. And according to the driver, its the best truck in the entire fleet! But I wouldnt expect anything less, it IS a Peterbilt after all ;) I just wish the belt wasnt squeaking, it really takes away from the audio because my camera picks up the high pitched sounds much better than the low growls. :( You'll notice a shot where the camera thought it would be cute to focus on af**cking water droplet that got on the camera lens.. not a clue how that happened either. I decided to climb up a wall right next to the truck for a hectic, close-up action shot that you dont get to see too often.. and what do you know? A damn water droplet that came outta nowhere ruins the whole shot.. I left it in the video for the sake of the audio and you get the basic idea of what happened thru the shot, but with no detail whatsoever. You'll also notice the arms on this truck are not Amreps. They are off of something else and for whatever the reason, EDCO put them on here. I would have to assume the original ones were damaged beyond repair somewhere through this trucks 20 year life. Huge thanks to the amazing driver! Its not too often you get a driver who stops and waves you past him so you can set up for a good shot before he drives up to the dumpsters.
