Though the lyrics are older, the song appeared in Britain in the 1740s and has been performed, with modifications, ever since. It is still sung by patriotic British crowds at sporting events and the like. There are elements of patriotic fervour, optimism and gloating in the lyrics of Rule, Britannia! TEMPE, Ariz. -- Rapper Nipsey Hussle released a statement following a mass shooting Friday night outside a Tempe nightclub where he was to perform. The statement posted on Hussle's tumblr account reads in part, "My deepest thoughts and sympathies go out to the victims and their families who were affected by the tragic event that took place last night in Arizona, and I pray for the speedy recovery for anyone involved..." 14 people are recovering after being shot at the Clubhouse Music Venue. Ciudad Juarez, Mexico - People in the embattled border city are on edge after a car bomb exploded downtown Thursday, night killing three people and injuring at least seven others. A day after the explosion, investigators sifted through debris for evidence and confirmed it was a car bomb they suspect was detonated with a cell phone. The bomb went off after police arrived at an apparent crime scene. There was a secondary blast when the vehicle's gas tank exploded. "I could feel the vibration. It vibrated strongly," said Miguel Angel Saldivar, an accountant who was working at his office two blocks away.
