Someone had the idea of hitting a gong and lower it into a tub of water to finish the tune. Lowering a gong into water lowers the pitch about a whole step. Very cool. Except we didn't have a clear container for the water, so it looks like Randy is just lowering a gong into a trash basket. The audience applauds, but looks puzzled. Click "More Info" above to read the story of David Ulrich. Before my brother passed, he fulfilled his dream of being a firefighter and paramedic just like our dad, Mike. For as long as I could remember he was always a "Little Mike", trying to do everything our dad did. David worked hard to make it through school and to finally achieve his dream. He worked a total of three jobs, including one at the fire department and one at an ambulance service. There was never any doubt that he worked hard to provide for his girlfriend, Natalie, and daughter, Illana. A year before he died, he began to express interest in moving to Savannah, Georgia to be a firefighter/paramedic there. I was excited at the idea of having my brother closer, even if I rarely got to see him. Some of the photos in this tribute video are of him staying on Tybee Island, just off of Savannah. He loved it there. When April 15th, 2005 came around no one thought David would leave us. The shock and trauma that we all felt that day still haunts us to a degree. We don't know why David had to leave us, it's something we all run through our minds even today. The ambulance that responded to the 911 call was the same one that David worked for. It was his partners who worked to save his life. He was transported to one of the local emergency rooms where doctors and nurses who knew him well worked feverishly, even though they knew there was no possibility of bringing him back. Though she's dating Karofsky, Santana is really in love with her best-friend Brittany. They fool around but Brittany wants more. Santana realizes she needs to stop fighting herself, and confesses her love to Brittany. They are happily in love and together. Kurt is angry with Dave because he still refuses to make their relationship public. Dave begs Kurt to wait for him, still dreading what people will think.
