Have you ever thought about forensics and crime scene investigations? At Carre's Grammar School in Sleaford, Jacqui Thompson has visited some Year 9s and has spent a whole day teaching them about what really goes on behind the 'crime scene' tape. Dressed up in giant white SOCO suits, the whole year group has been fumbling around the sports hall, looking for clues and finding out where and how the criminals really leave a trail. Transformed into a crime scene, the sports hall is where the pupils of Carre's are tapping away, trying to find out the answers. Finger prints and even ear prints are just some of the things the pupils have been exploring. Clive Oppenheimer, a volcanologist working on the latest techniques to monitor and predict volcanic eruptions, demonstrates his work at Mount Etna, an active volcano in Sicily. Clive is an expert in developing new techniques for monitoring volcanoes, and works with scientists around the world. It's a difficult job, because most of the activity happens deep below ground. Préparation : 10 mn Cuisson : 10 mn Repos : 0 mn Temps total : 20 mn Pour 4 personnes : 125 g de chocolat noir 4 oeufs 30 g de sucre 50 g de poudre d'amandes 125 g de beurre Préparation 1. Dans un saladier, fouettez vivement les ?ufs avec le sucre pendant 2 minutes. Le mélange doit être blanc et mousseux. Réservez. 2. Mettez le chocolat noir cassé en petits carrés dans un récipient avec le beurre. Placez ce récipient dans une casserole d'eau portée à feu moyen pour réaliser une cuisson au bain-marie. Remuez régulièrement sans jamais laisser l'eau pénétrer dans le chocolat. Arrêtez la cuisson et faites refroidir à température ambiante. 3. Une fois que le chocolat est refroidi, mélangez-le au mélange sucre-?ufs. Versez la poudre d'amande et mélangez délicatement. 4. Beurrez et farinez 4 petits moules individuels et versez-y l'appareil au chocolat. Vous pouvez aussi utiliser une plaque de moules à muffins par exemple. Faites cuire à four chaud (180°C) pendant 8 à 10 minutes. Sortez les moules et retournez-les sans plus attendre sur une assiette. 5. Attention, selon la puissance réelle de votre four, vos fondants pourront être plus ou moins cuits ou coulants. Testez la recette avec votre four pour trouver votre cuisson idéale. Servez tiède saupoudré de sucre glace et accompagné d'une crème anglaise parfumée à la vanille ou, pourquoi pas, à la menthe. Pour finir...
