This Swedish starlet released her English debut album back in '99 called 'Somebody Else' under the Nettwerk label, although her career in Sweden extends almost a decade before this. Garnering a beautiful voice, Tekla would have held some potential if she would have focused her energies more on creative tracks such as this one. There were a few other interesting songs on the album including the title track, which was a smart pop dance number, followed by a dreamy ballad called 'Like No One Else'. The other songs weren't that bad but they seemed to have been done before - either by Madonna or by Tori Amos or 'somebody else' (an apt title for the album I'd say!). Hopefully, she's still making waves locally in Sweden. But at least we have this to remember her distinctly by.
