Introduce yourself. [Name and role] I'm Ryan Stockmal and I play guitar. How did you start "Kenotia"? Me and Ryan met like 2 years ago. We met Carly at work and stuff. We had mutual friends that we played with previous bands we played before, so that's how we started. How did you get the name "Kenotia"? A band called "Kenotia Kickers", so we stole it from them. Who influenced you to play music? Personally, I'm really into bands like Sigur Ros, but the first thing that got me started was Green Day, when I was in 4th grade in 1994. How does it feel being compared to Paramore? I think it's pretty stupid just because we both have girl singers. If you actually listen to the music they're straight up pop and you know rock or whatever and we have more like ambient and effects to our music. It's just a completely different style. People just compare it just because they're 2 girls. There's many guys that fronts in a band that all sounds the same, but they never get compared. Just because there's so many guys out there fronting bands. Why did Carly leave the band? [Lisa -Stockton] It was kind of a mutual decision to where she was getting sick a lot with her voice and it effected the band a lot because she would always go to the doctor. That was kind of like the main issue. She wanted to do R&B stuff again and rock. That was the main decision that we all felt the same on. What are you going to do without Carly?
