UOW Spreads to Good Will to Students Moving out of home for the first time and setting up a house can be expensive, especially at the start of uni. The UOW community have generously donated household items they no longer need to help students set up their units and homes as part of the second annual Goodwill Hunting event. The initiative, started by former Vice-Chancellor Professor Gerard Sutton's wife Sylvia Sutton and Lynn Iverson, wife of UOW's Pro Vice-Chancellor (Health) Professor Don Iverson, encourages students to browse through the items on offer from February 24-26 and take home those which take their fancy. Event coordinator Kay Kent said many great items had been donated by staff members, current students, alumni and community members. "All students are welcome to come and have a look. We've got everything from crockery to cutlery, dinner sets, cards, quilts, matresses, dvds, books, cookbooks, blankets, sheets, cushions, glassware, kitchenware and towels," she said. " We even have big items like lounges, coffee tables, wardrobes, desks and chest of drawers which we expect will fly out the door." Goodwill Hunting will run from February 24-26 in the UOW Movement Lab ( Building 27, located towards the western end of campus between buildings 28 and 29).
