Good things - Luke Steele & Katy Steele - THE SONGS OF MAURICE FRAWLEY Album 4.25 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 19885 exibições Great songs live forever. Whether you write 'em, sing 'em, or just love the stories they tell and the way they make you feel, make no mistake - the great ones will survive the blessed lot of us. Maurice Frawley left scores behind when he departed this world, after a short fight with cancer, in May 2009. To some folks - Paul Kelly, Charlie Owen, Tex Perkins, Tim Rogers, Mick Thomas and Don Walker for instance - plenty were already classics. For the rest of us, Long Gone Whistle is a gift we never heard coming. This triple CD set features original performances by Maurice Frawley, plus new interpretations of his songs by Adalita, Chrissie Amphlett, Sarah Blasko, Clare Bowditch, Kasey Chambers & Shane Nicholson, The Drones, Renee Geyer, Paul Kelly, The Charlie Owen & Chrissie Amphlett, Panics, Tex Perkins, Luke & Katy Steele, Dan Sultan, and many more. Many of these singers - like most of the rest of us - never had the good fortune of knowing Maurice Frawley. But his songs came from a place that we all share, both geographically and emotionally. Lone Gone Whistle is the sound of it, hanging in the air forever.. + Informações |

JAMES AND AMY 3.83 min. | 4.3846154 avaliação | 1441 exibições www.balconytv.ie BALCONYTV DUBLIN 17 PRESENTED BY PAULINE FREEMAN The duo of James & Amy has existed in one form or another for almost five years. Whether artistic, creative or romantic - the pair seem destined to collaborate. But it wasnt until one fateful gig at the Sandringham Hotel, Sydney, that their Little Victories project was born. James was opening for a friends band when he invited Amy up on stage for a couple of duets. The reaction of the crowd was overwhelming. Musical collaboration was nothing new for James & Amy. Music had brought them together in London when James became Amys musical director, guitarist and harmony vocalist for the European tour and promotion of her Universal Music debut album Uncover The Sky. James too had found success with his first offering, signing to multiple indie labels, releasing the album Second Season in the UK, US, Japan and Australia, and co-writing the Top 10 Australian hit Beautiful As You for The Whitlams. Yet strangely the idea of a duo album was new to James & Amy. Spurred on by the audiences response to their impromptu performance, they feverishly began co-writing and recording their album, tucked away for days at a time in their make-shift home studio in Sydneys inner west. With the album half completed, they took some time off to devote to another project - their spring wedding in Ireland! However, on their return they set about finishing the album with help from a handful of incredibly talented Sydney session musicians .... + Informações |

Casey James - "Jealous Guy" on American Idol TOP 9 2010 // Season 9 4.62 min. | 0 avaliação | 205779 exibições They make fun of Casey, like hes a soap opera star. They mock his laugh. And his hair! Tonight, its just Casey and his guitar. Theres a cello on stage with him. Wow. Very tender, emotional vocal. He doesnt have a perfect voice, but it adds character to the song. It kicks in on the second verse. I like this a lot. Ok, Im getting a little chill here, people. Wonderful. Casey, REALLY needed a performance like this. Randy says, I love that you were playing acoustic, love the sensitive vibe, impressed that you took that leap, youve got this blues exterior, it wasnt the perfect vocal, but I really felt you. Ellen says, That to me was your best performance to date, so soulful. It was a beautiful arrangement, I wanted to feel you pour yourself into a song, and you did. Kara says, You showed vulnerability, it was tasteful, its showing depth, thats what I wanted to seeI think you can do more still. Simon says, I think it was the best performance of the night so far. Week to week change has been ginormousIm very very impressed with you tonight. Ryan tries to pull something personal out of Casey, he ask him what he was thinking about during the song. Thinking about being a jealous guy, Casey answers. Shot down! Aaron Kelly Long and Winding Road Very bland. Katie Stevens Let it Be Good live Andrew Garcia Cant Buy Me Love Wasnt as good as last weekstanding with the guitar, changed it up just a little bit.
