KAPATID RE-DEFINED "In 2000, a brotherhood,name of music was born: Kapatid." Fronted by the iconic Karl Roy (Advent Call and POT), the band was originally made up of some of the industry's heavyweights: Nathan Azarcon (Bamboo) on bass, J-Hoon Balbuena (Kjwan) on drums, Ira Cruz (Passage and Bamboo) on rhythm guitars and the late Chico Molina on lead guitars. The band went on to release their first self-titled LP with hits songs PRAYER, PAGBABALIK NG KWAGO, VISIONS among others, in 2003 to great acclaim. Through the years Kapatid has successfully weathered a seemingly never-ending string of trials. From the ever-evolving lineup to the untimely death of a member, the band has managed to stay on the forefront of the industry, amassing a sizeable number of "diehard" fans. Two of the country's biggest superstars, together for the first time in a landmark team-up. In this comedy, Judy Ann stars as Maria Rica and Sarah is Maria Cecilia, daughters of public school teachers turned OFW. Left in the care of their Lola Gerty (Gina Pareño), Rica and Cecilia grow up in Bocaue, Bulacan, where they help look after the family's firecracker business. The two girls are inseparable. Rica takes her role as the big sister seriously, to the point of breaking up with her boyfriend, Bong (JC DeVera), and vowing to devote her life taking care of Cecil when the latter is hurt in a minor accident. Ten years come to pass and their parents return home. The family moves to Manila. Rica, though an Accounting Major graduate, chooses to sell jewelry instead of getting a professional job. Ramon Joseph "RJ" Bautista, 18, was arrested on the national highway in Bacoor, Cavite province, at around 11:30 pm on Monday and was tagged as the mastermind of the murder of Ramgen Bautista, 23. RJ Bautista, a model and business administration student of Enderun Colleges in Taguig City, was arrested by police shortly after leaving the wake of his slain brother in the town of Imus. He was in a black SUV accompanied by "some siblings" when arrested, according to Senior Superintendent Billy Beltran. Four other suspects, including his sister, Ma. Ramona Belen Bautista, 22, are being hunted, Beltran said.
