K's Choice is a Belgian rock band from Antwerp. The band centers on siblings Sarah Bettens (lead vocals, guitar) and Gert Bettens (guitar, keyboard, vocals). They are joined by Eric Grossman (bass), Jan van Sichem Jr. (guitar) and Koen Liekens (drums). Their music can be described as guitar-based singer-songwriter rock or folk-rock. It ranges from very delicate and intimate singer-songwriter songs to songs that are stronger, more active and louder.. + Informações

K's Choice - Not An Addict K's Choice is een Belgische rockband uit Antwerpen. De kern van de band wordt gevormd door Sarah (zang, gitaar) en Gert Bettens (gitaar, keyboard en zang), die broer en zus van elkaar zijn. Eric Grossman (basgitaar), Koen Liekens (drums), Reinout Swinnen (toetsen) en Thomas Vanelslander (gitaar) staan hen bij. In het begin van de jaren '90 speelden Sarah en Gert in een amateurbandje, The Basement Plugs. Hierdoor werd Sarah ontdekt. Zij kreeg een kans bij een platenmaatschappij vanwege haar rokerige, raadselachtige stem. Onder een Engels klinkende naam, Sarah Beth, verscheen ze op een aantal filmsoundtracks met covers, waaronder I'm so lonesome I could cry (origineel door Hank Williams) voor de film Vrouwen willen trouwen en een duet met Frankie Miller Why don't you try me, (origineel door Ry Cooder) voor de film Ad Fundum. Ze kreeg een contract aangeboden en vormde een band met haar broer Gert. Onder de naam The Choice namen ze in 1993 hun debuutalbum The great subconscious club op. In 1994 had de band vijf min of meer permanente leden: Sarah en Gert, Jan van Sichem Jr (gitaar), Koen Liekens (drums) en Erik Verheyden (basgitaar), die de er vanaf 1991 reeds bij was. Met z'n vijven toerden ze door Duitsland en de VS, in het voorprogramma van de Indigo Girls, een Amerikaanse band. Toen ze in de VS aankwamen werden ze door een andere groep, die ook The Choice heette, gedwongen hun naam te veranderen; ze besloten dat K's Choice de geest van de band .... + Informações
