A Burnsville man faces a burglary charge after the alleged victim discovered his missing items on Craigslist. Brennan Preston Cherney, age 19, was charged yesterday in Dakota County District Court with one felony second-degree burglary charge. According to the complaint, a Burnsville resident reported wake boards stolen from his garage sometime between Aug. 5-7. The wake board owner searched Craigslist and found a listing for the exact same boards in Burnsville. A phone number on the post led police to Cherney, who lived nearby. Cherney is also facing charges for an unrelated attempted burglary Aug. 9, when, according to a Dakota County criminal complaint, he tried to steal a 47-inch flat screen TV from a Burnsville home. He is being charged with first-degree burglary in connection with that incident.. + Informações
