This is the 45 vinyl single hit version of the song, only released briefly on CD, and not currently available digitally (see notes below). There are at least half a dozen extra elements/tracks in the mix/arrangement, giving it a vastly more enriched and powerful sound... an extra guitar line, several extra percussion instruments, extra harmony singing, extra horn tracks, more drum presence, and a hauntingly beautiful reverb during the last bridge measures. I truly hope they will release this digitally, I've been waiting it seems like forever, and I'll be lining up to buy it! - - - Edit: Aug 25, 2009 - I see that there is now 'matched content' on this, which is great...! It means that it links to purchasable content on iTunes and Amazon. As I said above, I'd *love* to see this re-released digitally, and this promotion here is part of a wish to get that happening. You will notice listening to both though, that this one and the one for purchase are quite a bit different. Only the album version with limited instrumentals is available right now, and I want to give them a gentle nudge and say, "Hey!... Let us buy the hit version too!" Hopefully they will do it sometime soon down the line... By all means, buy the album version also (I have it too, it has lots of other cool songs on it as well!)... but even though the vinyl is pretty nice, I still feel like we're lacking something without the digital single being available too... :-) --- EDIT: Nov 28, 2009 - Just a lil' update .... + Informações

He was also the first non-Jamaican to record reggae music in Kingston, Jamaica. Contents [hide] Nash began as a pop singer in the 1950s. He also enjoyed success as an actor early in his career appearing in the screen version of playwright Louis S. Peterson's Take a Giant Step. Nash won a Silver Sail Award for his performance from the Locarno International Film Festival. In 1965 Johnny Nash and Danny Simms formed the JODA label in New York. One of the more interesting signings was four brothers from Newport, Rhode Island, ages 9, 11, 15 and 16, called "The Cowsills". This was before "The Cowsills" signed with Mercury/Philips with Shelby Singleton and before they signed with MGM and had their first million selling hit single, "The Rain, the Park and Other Things". Johnny had his writers writing songs for "The Cowsills" and they went into the studio in New York with studio musicians and recorded a number of songs like "Either You Do Or You Don't" and "You Can't Go Halfway". Né à Houston (Texas) le 19 août 1940, Nash a commencé à chanter dans un ch?ur d'église. Dès treize ans il était un invité régulier du show télévisé Matinee pour des reprises de standards rhythm'n'blues des années 1950. En 1956, il est découvert par Arthur Godfrey, apparaissant sur sa radio et ses émissions de TV pendant sept années. En 1957, Nash signe avec ABC-Paramount et sort son premier simple A Teenager Sings the Blues. En 1958, il entre pour la première fois dans les classements avec une interprétation du titre A Very Special Love de Doris Day's. À la fin de la même année, il collabore avec Paul Anka et George Hamilton IV sur la chanson The Teen Commandments. Lancé comme un rival de Johnny Mathis, il commence une carrière dans le cinéma en 1959 avec le film Take a Giant Step, puis il apparaît ensuite en 1960 aux côtés de Dennis Hopper dans Key Witness, un film salué par la critique en Europe. Par la suite, il retourne en studio d'enregistrement où il compose avec peu de matériel quelques simples pour Warner Bros, Cannelure, Argo, mais sans grand succès. Johnny Nash retrouve enfin le succès en 1965 avec sa ballade Let's Move and Groove Together qui entre dans les cinq premiers des classements rhythm'n'blues.
