Johnny Kemp, who is from Nassau, Bahamas, grew up in Harlem, New York, developing his talents as singer and dancer. 'Just Got Paid' was a Top Ten R&B hit in 1988 from his second album, Secrets Of Flying. He also had a minor hit with 'Dancin With Myself' from that same album, as well as, 'Birthday Suit'(on the SING movie soundtrack in 1989). Kemp recently resurfaced on a 2007 DVD release by Keith Sweat entitled 'Sweat Hotel Live'. This DVD features live performances by Sweat in a reunion with other New Jack Swing R&B era pioneers of the late 80s and early 90s, including Teddy Riley, and has done performances for the NJS4EVER 20th Anniversary Celebration of New Jack Swing R&B : New York City in 2007.. + Informações
