I forgot I had this one on my camera! I think I recorded this in late December or early January and I guess I didn't take it off my camera. I don't hear this tune of Johnny's (I have no idea if he's the original artist!) that often, but I just checked youtube and heard a second version of this that Johnny did with a really different rhythm pattern. Amazing how different the two versions sound... but I think this is my favourite version. The country version sounds a little more square to me, whereas I like the bluesy sound of this one. I think I may have rearranged the lyrics a little depending on what I found off the net, so it won't be an exact cover. But there you go with another dose of Johnny!. + Informações

In the early 1960's, Bobby Martin played in my uncle's C&W band (Skeeter Radikopf and the Melody Buccaneers). The music in this video was recorded Aug 27, 1964 at Texas Star Inn on Bandera Rd (now Grady's BBQ). Bobby later formed his own band. They often played at The Silver Saddle on Hwy 181 near Southton Rd. At age 73, Bobby is still playing guitar and singing and he owns Bobby's Shady Oaks Dance Hall south of San Antonio on Hwy 281 (south of Loop 1604).. + Informações
